I'm so glad you loved this one! :) It is one of the best films ever made imo. I watched it with my family for the first time when I was a teenager. At the time I was much like Todd in the sense that I was shy and reserved but I was also similar to Neil. I was someone who had gone through and dealt with things I didn't like to talk about and, like him, I even attempted to end my own life because of my own issues, though thankfully I was unsuccessful. Because of that relatability and how well this movie was done it was incredibly impactful to say the least. Watching along with you is the second time I've ever seen it, but it's just as impactful, though slightly different as I'm now in my 20s and I'm doing much better mentally. It is truly one of the most unforgettable and emotional movies and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Todd and Neil in love? Maybe. Who knows? I don't. But I do know, Jay, that you're a hopeless romantic. And there's nothing wrong with that, the world needs more hopeless romantics. ๐

Not me crying as well, even though I have seen this film several times. I think this movie stays with you for a long time, because of the great acting, beautiful cinematography and its poignant message. The feeling of tragic loss at the end of the film resonates even more because of Toddโs declaration of loyalty and respect for Mr Keating, especially as his character at the beginning of the movie seemed the least likely of all of them to make a stand or even let his voice be heard. The director is, I believe, also responsible for the haunting film, Picnic At Hanging Rock, which I recommend.

That is really great movie. The gut punch toward the end is brutal. I'm glad you watched tho!

One of my alltime favorites. I can really identify with Todd, and Todd and Niell are my favorite characters in this movie. The scene where Todd runs away in the snow always makes me cry. Just wanted to give you a big comfort hug, cause it really hits this movie. Such good acting all around and Robin Williams does a brillant job. The scene where they stand on the tables initiated by Todd is such a great sign of love and respect for Mr. Keating.

So excited for this one! I went to the high school upon which the film is based. The scriptwriter graduated before I did, but heโs brilliant. Every time I watch it, itโs like Iโm back in school. I was Ethan Hawkeโs character without the good looks. Very shy and scared to speak in class.
