This is a hell of an episode. First, what Adam did was incredibly cruel: what makes us human is the intersection of our memories and agency to chose by suborning & altering memories he literally changed the people. We are the totality of our past choices and the possibility of our future choices—plus the circumstances the universe (god, fate, luck, random chance, karma—I’m not gonna fill in this blank; believe what makes sense to you) bestows upon you. Writing out Ryce might have been a “side effect” but… And turning Llanto into a monster… Emasculating Owen may have superficially looked like justice but HE needed to grow there not have it imposed. Adam wasn’t benign. Pity Jack fell for his temptation at the end. We learned so much about Jack’s back-story…
