When the Engine fails..... and fails...

These past 24 hours have really sucked. Not going to lie. I had someone who's opinion I believed was trustworthy pretty much confirm every insecurity and doubt I have over PM particularly the art being bad in their view (I looked into it and tbh, I think they just dont like Koi games, so whatever in the end). It had me down, posted to Twitter about it (deleted now) and generally felt so much like shit, I slept the day away. Sometimes people dont realize that behind these projects are HUMANS who put their souls into this. Well, at least me and a few that I know like Airell and Dagotto and anyone else I am a Patron of.
Generally I dont feel bad about critique. People like what they like, you guys donated to me you clearly like my work or find potential in it and invest in me.
But despite that I think to the negative, sometimes my bi-polar brain wont let me take a W and makes me look at the Ls more.
Again, KoiSun is being a really naughty program. Today I had to refresh the program for the 5th time since game development started and money is just so tight in life. Plus this past week saw the unveiling of updates from literally ALL my favorite games and with this frustration and dev hell, couldnt help but drown in my own feels.
Despite all the nonsense, light at the end of the tunnel has appeared. See attachment. Spoilerish given the fact that some new characters are in it.
I would also be remiss to not mention I completed two commissioned art jobs for Airell, the Love and Corruption dev AND Pookie, the dev I collaborated with. They needed forum sigs so I made them some. I am happy to help with their efforts at expanding their player bases. "We are in this together" is my motto.

2023-05-09 19:16:49 +0000 UTCI barely know shit from dev developing bro, but i can imagine how fuking hard it is, make sure to take all the rest you need everytime you feeling a bit bad bro, theres no rush, also, you got to make sure you working on this because you love it, and not by some kind of obligation. Do not think about deadlines and work until you reach a point where you feel satisfied, if life out there comes to put hard obstacles, give it your all! If there is something you want to do to pass the time and release stress or just relax, give it a go and enjoy! (for example, playing new fav game updates <3). If you ever feel doubtful about your work or feel that koitatsu sunshine limits you too much, remember that you are not alone, you can always count on your followers and those great developers close to you for help and advice! I can see all the effort and love you are putting into this project bro, You got this man!!! (also awwwww <3, thanks bro, the feeling is mutual XD)
