Kit Connor has said in interviews Nick's expression of awe and wonder at seeing Tara and Darcy kiss was not acting. Kit was stunned by the beauty and power of that scene, and the look on his face was 100% genuine.

Then everything you mentioned and my jaw was in the freaking floor when Nick says “are you going to assume they’re a she” I screamed I fainted and that wasn’t even the actual kiss. Im gonna re watch the reaction cause this was great
