Britney Spears is not one of my favourite artists... Her music drives me nuts. I had to stop midway and go on. She's almost as cringe as Will and Carl.

2021-07-26 22:38:08 +0000 UTCI like the way they sing the song, but I agree he shouldn't of sung it with them, it was so weird. Made even weirder by the way they performed it! Also it pissed me off that he dismisses the group's song suggestions or themes for the week but then does it just because of Emma? Gross. He uses the club as a way of reliving his high school life and it's just wrong. It's the kids time to enjoy Glee Club and he never lets them do what they want to do. I loved when Sue ran the club last season (even though her intentions sucked!) she did let the kids do what they wanted and genuinely seemed to like their performance.

They are just so over the top and ridiculous but she plays Sue soooo well!

2021-07-12 12:56:17 +0000 UTCI have mixed feelings about this episode. I love the music and performances so much, some of my absolute favorite songs of theirs. I even appreciate the reappearance of Terri for the short segment. On the other hand though, Will is so cringey in this episode. I do like that Britney got a bit of a feature. Before Glee, the actress actually was a backup dancer for Britney Spears, and I love that she got to do some dancing here. The Only Exception is also one of my absolute favorite songs from Glee. Rachel knocks it out of the park. I agree that she does a great job showing emotion through her performances. I think it's the musical theater background, and pretty much why her songs are my favorite even though I love Santana and Mercedes' voices so much. Great reaction! Also #freebritney

2021-07-12 05:08:03 +0000 UTCI don't listen to Britney much, but I think, They did a good job with most of her songs; Will doing Britney with the students and Rachel doing Hit Me Baby One More Time was a bit cringe to me, but I really liked Brittanys version of I'm A Slave, and her duet with Santana and Arties version of Stronger was good too. A kinda weird spin on them having a Britney fantasy in the dentist chair, when Will refused to let them perform her songs in Glee club. Glad Rachel realised, that it wasn't cool to make Finn choose between her and football, and It just again showed, that she is insecure. Lovely version of The Only Exception at the end, where I felt she sounded a bit like Haley Williams on that song, and it suited her. I like that slowly Brittany and Santana gets more performances, They have really good voices. Brittany and Mike are the best dancers in the Glee Club, but nice to see her show, that she can sing as well. Brittany is probably my favorite female character on Glee.
