Not really a fan of the Madonna tribute episode. I don't hate it I just think it feels really random and out of place, especially as Sue is the one who starts the whole Madonna theme off. I do love that last performance though.

2021-01-30 17:15:28 +0000 UTCI like the Vogue music video and even though it's almost frame by frame the same as the original, Sue did a great job paying hommage to it with Kurt and Mercedes help. I love Kurts voice on 4 minutes with Mercedes, They both have a great voice, and I like when we also get to see him do other stuff than amazing ballads.

2021-01-30 11:20:34 +0000 UTCI love the Vogue video, it's so cool :D And Like a Prayer at the end is one of my fave performances from the entire series, it's so simple the way they do it, not too much and just amazing vocals, the choir just being the icing on the cake! Overall it's not my fave episode, by a long shot, there are some good songs, but I aways felt that when they did like a tribute episode to a particular artist, the story line sort of falters, because it seems like they worry more about the story fitting to the songs than the other way around - I will say tho that it's not too far apart in this one, there are some future episodes that are much more storyline-fits-to-the-songs-ish. That is generally where I feel Glee goes downhill, when they go more mainstream with the music choices, instead of doing the stories that are interesting and then finding whatever music, new or old, that fits to the story. Just my thoughts anyway. Santana definitely gets too little screen time, especially during the songs, cos she does have a fantastic voice! Thankfully she'll become more of a prominent feature along the way :)

Not sure if you notice but it's a direct homage to the original music video for Vogue and it's so well done :D there are side by sides on Youtube you should totally check out. Don't worry you'll hear some more Santana in time :-) Chris/Kurt's vocals in 4 minutes are so freaking good. It's a great sound for him. Can't wait for more!!
