This is truly a stunning episode, definitely in my top 10. The words and the lines in this episode are just beautiful, so well written. Stephen Moffat, who wrote this episode, takes over as head writer in season 5 and he writes some more incredible speeches. Also if you thought you got emotional with this episode, you haven't seen anything yet lol. Wait until the end of season 4, just wait. And the end of season 9. And the end of season 13. Well you'll just cry a lot more. 😂

Unpopular opinion, but I don’t really care for this episode. I can appreciate the emotion of it, but the fact that the Doctor knowingly stranded Rose and Mickey on the ship to save Madame de Pompadour always bothered me. I also don’t care for Sophia Myles as an actress, so that doesn’t help matters.

Love, love, love this episode! Yes, the writing is top notch, and David Tennant's performance was superb, even more so than usual. Stephen Moffatt does come up with a hell of a lot of good quotes, and this episode was full of them. My favorite: "One may tolerate a world of monsters for the sake of an angel."

Anyone else getting an issue where the video isn’t working? It just says “generating preview” and it isn’t ready yet and to download if you want to watch it. I thought that was because I tried it 19 minutes after the post went up, but 3 hours later and same thing :/
