Sadly, the show kind of ruined Edwina by scraping her desire to find love and instead making her look like a desperate little gold-digging social climber only interested in wealth and title. At the same time the show tries to paint Kate as just a jealous c*** blocking bi***, when in reality she knows that Athony is not looking for love, which would leave her sister (who was supposed to want true love and a deep intellectual connection above all else) in a loveless marriage to a man who would use her to breed heirs and then leave to go sleeping around. I find it irksome how people can judge Kate for being string and protective and saying she needs to stop blocking a man who is clearly not good for Edwina. More animosity is directed at Kate for standing in Anthony's way, than at Anthony for trying to con a young woman into a loveless marriage with lies and games when we know he just wants a wife, not love! Yal are swooning over his words and rooting for his pursuit of Edwina but they are not his words, he does not mean what he is saying, he is just trying to win the Queen's diamond and beating Kate! For Anthony its a game, for Kate its about Edwina's happiness!

This is a game for Anthony to win against Kate at this point and is less about actually wanting Edwina. I can't wait to see how your feelings about Kate evolve as the season goes on. I will say Kate and Anthony are fire and are my favorite Bridgerton couple.
