Gary - I lost interest in this show as soon as William Hartnell disappeared in the 1960's. As far as I'm concerned, Hartnell was irreplaceable and I'll never change my mind on that. Very disappointed when I saw the headline above and it wasn't the original pilot episode in black and white from 1963 with Hartnell starring as the Doctor. Seeing the Daleks for the very first time absolutely gripped the nation and I'll never forget that moment. So for me, this show lost its appeal nearly 60 years ago!

I now have watched all the episodes as well as one of the spinoffs and I absolutely love it! It’s a great show with awesome characters you will grow to love.

Once you get past the not-so-great special effects (the new version of the show started in 2005) and the cheesiness, it really has a lot to offer! The first ever episode of the old Doctor Who first aired the day after JFK was assassinated in 1963, and it's been going (with a pretty big gap in the late 80's/90's/early 00's) since then. You're in for a very long, very up-and-down, but very enjoyable ride!
