Yeah I understand I guess I'm just a little butthurt because I love the BBC version of Merlin and when I heard Merlin was going to get Incorporated to Once Upon a Time I was excited there's a lot of parts that I did love with season 5 I'm sure he would love it I can't wait for his reactions to dark swan

Alex A Alvarenga

You really shouldn't discourage Jay or anyone else watching this show for the first time from liking a season, or certain characters. Jay loves so many characters and has every right to love any character he wishes to, even if we may not agree with him. Let him decide for himself as he continues to watch the show. Please don't try to tell him what he should or shouldn't like. I've seen a number of people trying to dissuade Jay and other Once Upon a Time reactors from liking certain things to come and even encouraging them not to even bother watching all that's to come. It's so wrong. Personally... I love all that's to come and I am really hoping Jay will too. But he might not be able to enjoy it as much if you and others try to tell him he won't. Please let them judge for themselves.

Love when it's double episodes, cos then we get to spend more time with you ;D Loved your reaction to the finale, and I really enjoyed season 5, I'm sure you will too! Can't wait for you to see what's to come, you're in for a twisty turny ride throught season 5, trust me! We love you too, Jay, your reactions are so honest and sincere, I love how invested you get in the stories and the characters - I feel the exact same connection to OUaT, it's just one of those shows that just feels like an extended family somehow, and not many shows can do that, which also puts some pressure on the show for sure, cos your expectations keep getting higher, but I really feel like overall they exceed most expectations, of course there are episodes here and there that are less powerful, but all in all it's a very strong show, storywise, acting wise, set and costume design always on point, and as the seasons go on the CGI improves a lot as well, I mean just look back at the season 1 finale when Emma found Maleficent the dragon under the library, that was very fake looking, they've come far ^^ Looking forward to season 5, you're gonna love it :) Take care till then! :)

Operation Mongoose Part Two- Thank once more for this phenomenal reaction from you, Jay!! I really loved watching this beautiful two part finale again with you. And Part Two of Operation Mongoose is among my favorite episodes within this arc, as well as throughout the entire show. I absolutely love this second half of the finale, and I was so excited to watch your reaction for it. You certainly didn't disappoint me. I really, really had a lot of fun watching it. :) As for my favorite moments throughout this episode... First, I love, love, love the beautiful scene between Emma and Deckhand Hook. I love that Emma has her memories of who she really is intact, yet that she is no longer the Savior so that she wouldn't have the power to save everyone. And I love that Killian has become Deckhand Hook like Black Beard calls him, and that he has become a coward like Rumplestiltskin has always been known to be. It's so very sad to see him the polar opposite of who he really is. A man who is confident in his fighting skills and more so... who is a hero unafraid to face the dangers they come against head on. However, I really love seeing Emma teaching Killian how to fight with a sword, like I'm certain Killian in their true reality must have taught her during their time together, is beautiful. But more so... I absolutely love that Emma does for him, as Killian has done for her. She works to remind him of the strong and loving man she knows he truly is, as she gives Killian the courage to be more than just a cowardly deckhand. I love seeing how close they are to one another, and the look they show as they stare into one another's eyes. Beautiful. :) Another of my favorite scenes... I love, love, love the battle that takes place between Killian and Evil Charming and Evil Snow, after Killian finds the courage to fight for Emma and Henry. I love Killian's words to Emma... "If I can help return things to how they were meant to be, then what happens to me here won't matter, will it? Now go. Save your boy." Tragically, this battle between them ends with Killian's death as Evil Charming stabs him in the back while David states, "I never did like pirates". This phrase is perfect for David to say and perfectly in character with who David would be if he were evil, given that he has always hated pirates, especially Hook back when they started getting to know one another. Until of course David and Hook now have come to be really close friends. And I love the look of sheer fear and despair on Emma's face upon seeing him die right in front of her, and her being powerless to save him just before Henry urges Emma to run off with him so they can escape. My heart completely shattered in this moment when Killian is killed. I suspected that somehow everything would be righted and that Killian would come back somehow, but this moment still really scared me and I cried like Emma did. I absolutely love that Killian made the ultimate sacrifice to protect Emma and Henry. It's really beautiful, and it shows just how much Killian truly does love Emma, as well as Henry very deeply. Another favorite moment... I love when Emma and Killian are first brought together inside the tower after Henry frees his mother, and seeing Killian completely in awe of Emma's beauty and at a loss for words when Henry introduces them. So adorable! They are so adorable!!! :) And my last favorite moment... is after everyone returns to their true selves once they are freed from the storybook thanks to Henry, I love seeing Emma run back to her parents' loft to make sure Killian is alive again, then seeing her run into Killian's arms with so much relief upon seeing him alive. This moment between them is so beautiful. My only complaints about it... is that Emma isn't able to bring herself to tell Killian she loves him in spite of her words earlier to Regina, because her fear once again gets the better of her. And you can see when Killian's smile drops a little, that he knew what she was about to say to him, only to feel crushed a little when she fails to be able to do so. Like he's afraid maybe she doesn't love him as he deeply longs for her to. Nonetheless... this moment is still beautiful and I love it!! :) Now... I love the scene when Henry boards the Jolly Roger to find Killian so he can enlist him to help him save his mother from the tower across the ocean. I love seeing Killian as Deckhand Hook, as he acts cowardly especially upon Black Beard's arrival, who happens to be Killian's Captain, much like the real Black Beard would love. And because of this... I love that Henry uses the skills he's learned about sailing, the Jolly Roger, and swordfighting, all from Killian in order to knock Black Beard unconscious for Killian. Next... I love that Hook and Henry use the Wookie Prisoner gag... an idea Henry takes from Star Wars in order to break into Emma's prison so they can save her. Brilliant and just like Henry to do. And it's just like Hook to be confused by the movie references too. :) I love their fight to escape from the tower aboard the Jolly Roger, as they escape from the guard that guarded its sole prisoner, who turns out to be Lily as she transforms into a dragon to try to kill them. I love that Emma and Deckhand Hook work together to take her down with a chain shot. And I also really like the small detail that Hook was made allergic to rum too, given that the true Hook loves his rum. Very funny. As for the scenes between Rumple and Isaac, as well as Belle... I like that the Author comes to Rumplestiltskin to try to stop Henry and Regina, after Evil Snow fails to stop them. But I still don't care much for the changes in Rumple's character, and the lack of changes in Belle's character. I absolutely love, love, love the scene between Emma and Regina after Killian's death, as Emma finally admits how she loves Killian when she pleads with Regina to help her and Henry break the Author's power so they can return to who they truly are. I love the tears in Emma's eyes and the heartbreak in her voice as she shows her emotions, allowing herself to be truly vulnerable in a rare moment. This scene is absolutely beautiful. Sadly, like I said above... Emma is still unable to tell Killian how she really feels about him, until the very end. But first... I also love that it's Henry who sets everything right, when he becomes the new Author since Isaac stopped being Author the moment he wrote himself his own happy ending, which is forbidden of the Author's. Henry becoming the Author is very fitting to his character because he's been the protector of the storybook since the beginning of this show in season one, and knows every story written by heart. And I really like seeing him be the hero he has longed to be for so long. This is brilliant! And then... I really enjoy seeing everyone celebrating at Granny's, and I love the moment between Emma, Killian, David, and Mary Margaret, when Emma's parents apologize to Killian for killing him while trapped inside the storybook. And more so... I love that Killian teases them, especially David about holding this over them for years to come. Afterwards, Emma talks with Lily, who tells Emma that she hopes to find her father. It's interesting to learn that Maleficent conceived Lily while she and the father were in dragon form, and therefore doesn't know who he actually is. I like it. Meanwhile... Gold is continuing to die now that he and the Author had failed. And Isaac runs off in order to avoid being at the Dark One's full wrath should he come out with Gold's death. I like the moment Belle first scolds Gold for his actions, until he collapses. Belle then runs to Granny's to get the heroes for help. And they enlist the Apprentice to help pull the darkness from Rumplestiltskin once and for all. He succeeds in doing so, but unfortunately, the hat is unable to contain such great and dark power, and therefore it nearly consumes the Apprentice until Emma uses her light magic to save him. Unfortunately, without a tether, the darkness escapes out into the night. And lastly... the darkness suddenly attacks Regina and threatens to consume her as it is drawn to the former Evil Queen and her dark heart. Robin attempts to help her, only to be thrown back. Tragically, the only way to save Regina is for Emma to also make the ultimate sacrifice like Killian had done within Isaac's storybook, as she uses the Dark One dagger to draw the darkness away from Regina and into herself. But first... Emma pleads with her parents to save her once more like they had done before, only this time as heroes, which I really love. But more so... I love, love, love the moment between Emma and Killian as he runs up to her and pleads with her not to make this sacrifice, to which Emma finally tells Killian she loves him. This brief moment between them is so beautiful and sadly, it ends in tragedy when Emma at last vanishes along with the darkness, leaving behind only the Dark One dagger now with her name engraved upon it. Amazing! Overall... this episode is phenomenal and I absolutely love it!!! So thank you so much once again for your reaction for it!!! I really had so much fun watching these episodes with you. I can't wait for your reactions for season five to begin!!! I absolutely love season five so much, and what's to come is absolutely phenomenal. If I absolutely had to choose a favorite season throughout the entire series, which is extremely difficult for me because I love each season so, so much... I would have to say that all of season five would be my choice for reasons you will come to see for yourself. It also has one of this show's biggest twists that no one sees coming, that I feel is the show's biggest and most phenomenal twists ever. It's absolutely brilliant! Thank you! Until season five, my friend... Sincerely, Heidi

Operation Mongoose Part One- I love this first episode of the two part finale, so thank you so much for your continued reactions!! I really hope you've enjoyed this Queens of Darkness arc like you enjoyed the Frozen arc as well. I certainly miss Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff too. But I absolutely love Maleficent, Cruella, and Ursula too, and seeing them unite with Rumplestiltskin as villains to try to take back their happy endings, and steal them away from the heroes. It's brilliant!! Now... I like that this episode begins with showing us how Isaac came to be the Author, and who he was beforehand. It's interesting that he was a salesman, who saw more in the world than most people. Who believed in the possibility of magic without ever seeing proof it could exist until he meets the Apprentice. I like that the Apprentice calls him in as if for a job interview, then asks Isaac to choose one of the few quills he lays out in front of him... much like when Indiana Jones must choose which cup is the Holy Grail in Indiana Jones: And the Last Crusade. Him choosing wisely shows that Isaac was once worthy of being the Author, but unfortunately, Cruella led him astray and Isaac eventually came to be a villain no better than she was. I also like that in him choosing the right quill meant for him, the Apprentice is able to show Isaac that he was right about there being more, as Isaac is able to see the new realms through the magical door. Next... I love seeing all of the heroes seek out answers on how they can stop Gold and the Author from enacting their plan inside the mansion. And I love that August returns briefly for this episode as well, and continues to share with his friends all that he knows about the Author, as well as the Apprentice. Which brings him to show his friends a drawing of the old man, allowing Killian to recognize him as the old man he unwillingly helped Gold to trap inside the Sorcerer's hat back in episode four... The Apprentice. Thankfully, the Blue Fairy is able to help them to free the Apprentice from the hat at last, much to Killian's relief. It's clear that he feels deep regret for allowing Gold to manipulate him into doing so, especially when we see the Apprentice glance over at him in shock upon recognizing him to be the man with Gold that day, as Killian looks away from him and Emma out of shame. I really love these scenes with everyone together and seeing them succeed in helping the Apprentice, who in turn warns them all they must find the Author and return him inside the book in order to stop him. Unfortunately, the heroes fail to stop Isaac and Gold from their plans, as the Author finishes his new storybook, but not before Isaac asks Gold about Baelfire, and how he would like him to be a part of his new life and happy ending. I really like this moment for Gold, as he talks about wanting to remember his son, with a new ending where Baelfire saw him as a hero, rather than as the man who abandoned him and was a villain. And then... just as Emma, Regina, and the Apprentice are about to confront them as they're about to reach the pawnshop, the Author's power pulls everyone into his storybook, except for Henry and himself. Isaac uses the quill's and ink's power to rewrite his now happy ending, making himself the most famous and beloved book author of our world's versions of his storybook, Heroes and Villains. But as for Henry... he is the only one within Storybrooke who was born within the real world and not in the Enchanted Forest, and therefore Isaac has no power over him to be able to write him into his storybook. I really love that Henry is left behind alone in Storybrooke, until he soon catches up to Isaac and uses the key to transport himself as well as Isaac into the book, just like the Apprentice had done in order to lock the Author into the page. And now... Henry is able to search for his family and loved ones, and little does he really know what awaits him, in spite of having a copy of Isaac's book to guide him. Unfortunately, Isaac is willing to do anything to keep Henry from succeeding, and reminding everyone of ho they really are. Absolutely brilliant! :) I love, love, love the twisted roles given to most of our beloved characters within Isaac's alternate reality. Although, some of them such as Belle, Robin, and Zelena aren't much different than their true selves, which I feel is a little disappointing. The only differences in their realities is that Belle and Rumple have a baby, while Robin and Zelena are engaged. because Robin loves Zelena. I really wish Adam, Eddie, and this show's writers had been a little more creative with their new realities. However, in spite of this, it makes sense why they are together and are supposedly happy. Also... I really do love that Snow White takes on the role of the Evil Queen and Charming becomes an Evil version of the Huntsman. I love the twist in their love story, as Evil Snow actually once loved David's twin, James until he was killed, and that in grief, she rips out Charming's heart and forces him to make himself look and act unwilling like James, even though neither one are in love with one another. This is brilliant, and I even like their new looks. Snow with her short hair fashioned in a mohawk like style, while Charming is dressed all in black and wears black eyeliner around his eyes just like Hook has always done. I love it!! Don't get me wrong... I love Snow and Charming as their true selves so much better. But I really love the uniqueness and changes in their character for this alternate reality, and I really appreciate the changes just so we can see them differently from how they are for real in every other season. It's nice to see something different. I also like that the dwarfs are still loyal to Snow, and are evil versions of themselves too. As is Granny, and surely Red would be too if they would have been able to get Meghan Ory back for these two episodes. Belle, Robin, and Zelena are the least changed from their true selves and I really thought this was a bit weak. So if there was really anything I didn't like about this episode, it's that they did nothing for their characters. Especially Belle. As for Regina... I also really love that we see Regina in the role of bandit Snow, seeking freedom from the Evil Queen's wrath by stealing from the rich just like Robin Hood, who is her greatest competition and is making it difficult for her to steal enough money for passage out of the Enchanted Forest. I really enjoy Henry's interactions with her throughout this episode too, as Henry does everything he can to remind Regina of her being his mother and of the hero she really is. And in doing so, Henry learns just where Emma is within this alternate world, and that Isaac had lied to him about bringing the Savior into his storybook too. I really love that she's been imprisoned within a far off tower, without magic, having never become the Savior. Brilliant! As for Rumplestiltskin... in all honesty, I really don't like the changes made for him as he's made into a hero and a beloved knight of the people. To me... his acting in this role seems really off and even cringey. It just feels wrong to me, even when he saves Henry from being killed by the ogre after Isaac ties him up to leave him to die. Overall... I really love this episode. I love seeing Regina's interactions with Evil Snow and Charming, and seeing Robin saved her from being killed. My only complaints, aside from not liking the changes made with Gold, but also, are mostly that a few characters aren't given enough of a change for me to really care about their storylines throughout these finale episodes. Thank you so much! Until the second half of the season four finale...
