This whole sire bond business is so annoying because it's so unevenly applied. I think they just threw it in there as yet another roadblock to Damon & Elena getting together to make Stelena fans feel better. Charlotte proved the sire bond was pretty darn literal. So why didn't Elena automatically drink "warm blood from the vein" like Damon said she needed to do even though she didn't want to hurt anybody? Stefan's "she almost killed herself to please you" comment to Damon made no sense. And why did she go barreling into the Grill to save Jeremy after Damon told her she needed to stay away? Damon only told her to kill Conner after it was clear that Elena wasn't going to listen to him and was going in there anyway. I know it's just a TV show, but arrgh. It's also annoying to see Caroline backslide from all of the emotional progress she made in Seasons 2 & 3 and reverting back to whiny, blabbermouth Caroline of Season 1.

2020-08-17 02:05:16 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. Part of me loves this episode and part of me hates it. Basically I don't like the werewolf stuff. This episode really makes you need to question why she chose Stefan at the end of S3 when she was in love with Damon? It was always going to lead to heartbreak. Stefan was always going to end up heartbroken. The two most likely reasons are peer pressure and her being naive. In 2x20 she said she knew she loved Stefan but didn't know what love was. Was she any the wiser in 3x22? Did it need her to become a vampire to be able to recognise the difference? The peer pressure is easy to see. Jeremy's face when he caught Delena kissing, that made her realise what would happen if she chose Damon. To make it worse Caroline was pressuring Elena to getting back with Stefan. Caroline's motives may have been honourable towards Stefan, but she was ignoring the fact that Stelena getting back together after 6 months apart while Elena had feelings for someone else was never going to work out. Damon got Professor Creepy's name right first time. There's already been one sacrifice which was when Pastor Young blew up the town council. That is what is currently feeding Bonnie's Expression.

I love the fact that, even as a Stelena shipper, you can still appreciate and enjoy Delena. A lot of people seem to think, if you love one ship you have to hate the other. I'm glad you're not one of them. I did get a little annoyed with Caroline in this episode. I do understand why she personally hates Damon, and after everything he did to her his first couple of months in Mystic Falls, I don't blame her. But Stefan spent half of the prior year running around the country with Klaus killing people, and Caroline can still look at Stefan and see a good person, so I wish she would be a little more understanding of why Elena is able to do the same for Damon. She can hate Damon as much as she likes, but she shouldn't expect everyone else to agree with her.
