If you like the photography in this, Marty, wait til you see Late Spring by director Yosujiro Ozu. 1949. Promise you that you'll be astonished by his 3 feet above the floor shots where all the story takes place in that single frame. He also includes shots of ordinary, everday things like the wind in a field of wheat, a simple teapot and other "pillow shots" to masterfully depict a world of just ordinary people.
