Hi all! Here's my UNCUT reaction to "The Strange Love Of Martha Ivers" (1946). Thank you so, so much for this request!
My god is this a good film! It had a similar feel to "Double Indemnity" too, both of which funnily enough star Barbara Stanwyck. Kinda reminded me a little of the story of that one too, a little (I also watched it for the channel).
I could not put my finger on where I knew Lizabeth Scott from. Turns out I know her from "Loving You" (1957), the Elvis film.
I believe this was the youngest I have seen Michael Douglas in a film too.
I hadn't expected that ending. I had thought that he would maybe try to twist things so that she had to stay with him no matter what... but did NOT expect what actually happened!
What did you all think to this film? Is it a favourite of yours?
