UNCUT | Classic Who: The Crusade (ALL PARTS) Reactions
Added 2025-02-10 15:23:47 +0000 UTCHi all! Here's the next instalment of UNCUT Classic Doctor Who reactions, bringing you the entire story of "The Crusade", which includes parts 2 and 4 (out of 4 parts) that are tele-snap episodes.
Although not my favourite story, as it feels a little repetitive from previous storylines, I did enjoy this one. Especially the parts within the castle.
This felt like a combination of "The Romans", "Marco Polo" and one or two others small parts from other episodes. It suppose that's why it just didn't feel as fresh. But again, that's not to say that I didn't like it.
I hope you all can join in watching along with me! I've done something a little different for the latter episodes, in that I didn't do much chatter between episodes and just continued through, as I'm likely to splice all episodes together into one large chunk for the main edit...or do them in two parts. I'm still not sure yet.

William Russell was sword trained and could ride horses after playing Sir Lancelot in a previous job. So usually whenever Ian gets into fights they’re significantly higher quality. You mentioned the cinematography, this story was directed by Douglas Camfield, this was his first solo directing job for Doctor Who and would directed plenty more, all of his stuff is top notch Doctor Who work. He definitely pushed for the best out of what could be done in the studio and location.
