UNCUT | Classic Doctor Who: The Web Planet (ALL PARTS) Reactions
Added 2024-11-19 14:32:00 +0000 UTCHi all! The next Classic Doctor Who storyline "The Web Planet" is here, with a difference! You might notice I've posted this as an entire storyline, which along with my chat about each part, comes in at 2h 31m.
I know it's probably obvious, but it takes a long time to put them together like this, but it means you can just sit down and watch an entire storyline with me this way. It also means I can get them all out in one go.
I'm testing it out like this, so please let me know what you think. I'd like to also post them to YouTube in full storylines, but I may need to go back to 2-3 parts per video due to time and getting them out to you quicker.
ALSO, with it being Doctor Who Day on Saturday, I'm planning on getting either the "Planet Of Giants" storyline edited down for YouTube or the final two episode of the newer series done... I'm not sure yet. Please let me know if you have any preference!

I just love the ambition of Verity Lambert and the rest of the 60s Doctor Who production team, they had the tiniest studios to work with, a shoestring budget and cameras that count zoom or even tilt. But when and made a thoroughly alien planet with giant insects for a programme that was only expected to be broadcast once. The smeary lense was just vaseline smeared over a glass plate in front of the lens, they only used it for shots on the planet surface to represent the thin atmosphere of Vortis
