Hi all, I hope you're all well. This is something that I hadn't been sure when to post on here, due to the subject matter being very close to another event that happened. This is "I'm Not Ashamed" (2016), which is a Christian based film not only set in Columbine in 1999, but also focusing on one family in particular and that is Rachel Joy Scott's family and friends. Rachel was a very real person and so it makes it slightly unsettling at times with knowing what is up ahead. Even with some of the purposeful nods to sensing something may happen.
I will say it is well told. I hadn't been sure at first, as this is filmed with a music-video-esque style to it with the colour grading etc. The acting isn't perfect and at times feels akin to those moral based YouTube channels, but it does a very good job of telling a heartfelt story with the impending tragic events just around the corner.
Now, due to the subject matter I wanted to set this up as a charity video, but I can't do that yet (due to channel milestone restrictions)... but I do hope I may be able to once I get to edit and post the main video. That is why this post is set so that anyone, as long as you're a FREE member, can get access to it.
For now though, I have not only wanted to include the charity links to the Columbine Memorial Foundation, but also to the Relief Fund for the Georgia attacks. I'm sure there are more for other attacks, but these are just the one that was affected and also the most recent one (as of filming and posting this).
Watching this at any time, for anyone, may bring back memories of any of the attacks that people have endured over the years... but I hope that instead of casting a shadow, we can cast a light to the families and friends of the victims and push to what I hope will be a much better future.
A future where no more attacks in any shape or form happen.
