Rehash Podcast | Episode 1, THE TRY GUYS (Early Access)

Hello everyone!

I am SO excited to announce the early access premiere of a podcast I've created with my good friend Hannah Raine (who helps out on the videos). This podcast is all about recent social media phenomenons (mostly on TikTok and Twitter), with the first season being dedicated to the concept of "public villains". This has been in the works for a long time now and I'm so happy to share it with you all first.

I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments! This episode will be officially premiering on Spotify and other platforms with the release of my video at the end of this month, so it would be great to hear some feedback before that happens.

Hope you're all doing well & enjoy!

xx

Loved this thanks for sharing, most people online are insane don’t listen to them!

Thank you so much :) and totally! The more of a "good person" you are presented to be, the harsher the downfall. We're going to get into that more in a Trisha Paytas episode later down the line.

Great discussion, y'all are brilliant. One thing I wanted to note at least from what I've seen is that often times artists/public figures don't have 100% control over what their "brand" becomes. So I'd imagine that it would be very easy for a reinforcing feedback loop (artist sees fands perceiving them as X in a positive way, so they lean into it, etc.). The reason I mention this is that it means that if your fans view you as a moral leader or role model of some kind, the harsher and more vitriolic the downfall seems to be. It also seems to be that a lot of people know that going in but Idk. I think that feedback cycle + fan perception may also lead to people getting caught by surprise by their "downfall" as it were Looking forward to the Lindsay Ellis episode!
