A Re-Vamping

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm going to do a full re-working of this Patreon going forward. At the moment, I'm looking to do a weekly newsletter or roundup of different things I've been reading/listening to/watching, and a move towards more text-based content - so like written movie/show reviews (I still have to cover I May Destroy You), book reviews, and short-form essays! I don't think the podcast is really working anymore (although we'll be finishing the Gossip Girl one when I'm back home), and I want to make it so that you're all getting you money's worth, I'll have to adjust the tiers so that each one is fulfilled adequately. But I also wanted to hear from you what forms of content you're interested in?

I think Jenny Nicholson's Rant may be a good inspo as something that's both sustainable and interesting. But AMAs are also quite popular (though are more difficult with more supporters. I think what matters is something that isn't super high effort so it's sustainable. I'd agree with the other commenters that you already put an astronomical on your videos so doing something lowkey for the Patreon makes sense to me.

2021-09-13 18:58:03 +0000 UTCHonestly I don't envy creators who have to juggle not just creating media but also cater to their Patreon backers. I donate to you because I like your work and want to support it so that it continues but I don't believe that this gives me should give me any say in what you choose to do - you're the creator, not us (o: Obviously I'm a pretty low-tier supporter and maybe those who donate more have a different opinion but personally when it comes to your Patreon output you should do as much or as little as you feel inclined.
