Really enjoyed listening to this, I hope you make more podcast episodes! I found myself agreeing with some of your critiques, but I also really liked the show so far and thought it was silly and fun, especially episode 3, so it's interesting to hear a different perspective. I know the show will probably disappoint me, but it looks like they might be setting up some sort of poly relationship between Max/Audrey/Aki, and that kind of representation would be nice to see, but I'm also worried they would mess it up terribly if they go there.

2021-07-24 21:17:33 +0000 UTCI wasn't a huge fan of og Gossip Girl due to the sheet amount of ridiculous drama. But I would watch from time to time just because it was fun and campy. So I'm disappointed that the reboot is taking a more serious approach. Teen dramas can be serious, but I think they should have just done this with an original script instead of something as big as GG.
