Update/Question!
Added 2021-03-21 15:15:54 +0000 UTCHi guys, I've been ~thinking~ about doing a slightly different type of video next month where I analyze a major pop culture figure and use them as a case study to explore why fame can be abuse / parasocial relationships between audience and celebrity. What do you guys think of that? I'm thinking of doing Britney Spears, but are there any other celebrities you can think of who might be a good example as well?

An interesting point following up on this is that sometimes audiences aggressively support and defend their audience whereas sometimes they immediately turn on them. As an example, look at ProJared's subreddit

It’s interesting how they leverage their audiences to find support or make a comeback with after sketchy events occur and enough time has distanced them from it. The culture around exploiting an audience’s favor for their content and not drawing a line between creator/viewer is something still only really making developments and taken into consideration as of late. Oh Roman Atwood and his damn vlogs too lol. He hasn’t uploaded in forever yet had my little brother and millions of other tuning in each and every day even after controversial content like the “Killing My Kid PRANK” ....... i-
