Thunderf00t HUMILIATED by Mars Helicopter Success!
Added 2021-04-27 22:32:51 +0000 UTCI just couldn’t believe it when I started getting bombarded with messages about how I should apologize for ‘busting’ the Martian Helicopter about 3 years ago. Its almost surreal because in that original video I conclude that the Martian helicopter is challenging, but completely possible! Sadly due to my prolonged criticism of folks like Elon Musk, I now have this stunningly dedicated anti-fan base so eager to try to discredit me that they will demand that I apologize for things that I never even said! How dedicated is this anti-fan base? -First powered flight on Mars, and their first action? HOW CAN WE USE THIS TO DISCREDIT THUNDERFOOT??? –crazy!
Meanwhile…..NASA deserves to take a HUGE lap of honor here, firstly just for getting Perseverance to the surface safe and sound, but also for the first flight on Mars.

well to be honest, even if you got those antifans, their probably gonna watch your videos to have somethin new to rant about. they simply support your channel unknowingly by watching your videos xD its quite unlikely their ever gonna hit those like n dislike buttons cause their skipping to the comment section so maybe a win for you? i dont know, youtube is complicated xD

Time, which, in my humble opinion, they should spend learning a new skill or educating themselves. But, they seem to think just believing in future tech will make the world a better place, and so their emotional investment into their new demigod usually trumps reason, rationality, and in general the ability to think clearly. It's rather despondent, really. This "us vs. them" thinking is not going to end well as history has shown time and again.
2021-04-28 08:55:00 +0000 UTCPart of the problem may be what one remembers. I recall that older video and it seemed to suggest you thought it was rather unlikely to succeed (worth it but unlikely). It is pretty easy to "remember" the video just basically "busts" much chance of it working. Unless you go back and review the video (which you did with this new one) it is hard to remember a 3 year old video in any detail. I actually half expected this new video to be a "how about that? It worked! I didn't think it had much chance, but it worked!", instead it was about how the Elon fans were hassling you and they didn't recall the video correctly.

2021-04-27 23:09:06 +0000 UTCI couldn’t agree more... your video popped up in my feed and I hadn’t seen before... you called it exactly right imo. It was / is a high risk tech demo that has worked out in spite of the risks. Tribalism doesn’t care so much about facts unfortunately.
