Spotlight SFX
Added 2018-11-24 06:06:46 +0000 UTCI needed a spotlight-turning-on, KCHHhh, sound for a thing so I just... went at it head first.
I knew it needed to sound like a big metal switch being thrown but all I have are Very Tiny Switches... so I returned to ol' reliable, pitch everything down and overdub A Bunch of Takes.
This audio file is like, the bones of it being assembled.
First we have: each layer of the sound, played at it's normal speed;
then all the layers together (sounds kinda dinky BUT HOLD ON);
next each layer pitched down, stacking over eachother;
then finally, the glue, that old magic, A Shit Ton Of Reverb.
That's it!! I try to just iterate over sounds until I think they're beefy enough then move on--I'm on a dEADLINE OKAy...
