Dear SupportersπΎ
Thank you so much for supporting me in April.
Please continue to support me in May!
I also welcome those who support me for the first time this month!
In Japan, May 5 is a national holiday called "Children's Day".
So I drew Aki enjoying Children's Day.
By the way, Children's Day is my birthday!π
What Aki is holding in his hand is a "Koinobori(carp streamer)" .
On Children's Day, families with children raise carp streamers.
In China, there is a legend that a carp that climbs up a waterfall rises to the sky and becomes a dragon.
On Children's Day, carp streamers are raised in the hope that children will grow up vigorously and strongly like such a carp.
Also, what Aki wears on his head is a "Kabuto(Samurai helmet)" made of folded paper.
On Children's Day, Samurai armor and helmet are displayed in the hope that they will protect children from illness, injury, and accidents.
And, the signature sweet of Children's Day is "Kashiwa Mochi".
Kashiwa Mochi is a rice cake filled with sweet bean paste wrapped in an oak leaf.
I love Kashiwa Mochi!
Are there other days to celebrate children's happiness and growth in other countries besides Japan?
I would like to know how people celebrate the happiness and growth of children in other countries besides Japan!
Thank you for reading to the end!πΎ
