The thing about Peggy Carter and the dark force in the 50s is a reference to the Agent Carter tv show. Also to give you a reference of when this aired, it was the last episode before the release of Doctor Strange.

Also, the only reason he was blackmailed is because Team Coulson was acting without his knowledge. Him accepting the terms of the blackmail is actually protecting Coulson and Daisy. You guys would know that if you didn't talk over important dialogue.

Also, how is he supposed to know the situation when everyone has gone out of their way to lie and keep it from him. It helps to be able to see character's flaws even if they are "main characters" who we've known for a while. Coulson is not perfect, and he is wrong for undermining the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., especially since he wouldn't like the same thing to be done to him.

You guys should pay more attention. You're so caught up in not liking a character and talking over that character's dialogue that you completely miss what they're trying to say. Also, you dislike Mace because he's doing his job. That's not a good reason if you're not going to pay attention.
