May Carelton's house i believe was filmed at a stately home called Chatsworth House built in 1708 and has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. It is absolutely beautiful i have visited it. Charlie Chaplin was indeed half Romani gypsy born in the Black Patch Smethwick Birmingham, I am lucky enough to be from the Midlands and have visited many of the places they film Peaky Blinders.
