Doctor Who Twice Upon a Christmas Reaction

Doctor Who Twice Upon a Christmas Reaction

Loved it guys

Okay, so history isn’t their thing. But I would like to think that they made up for it by knowing about the Christmas Truce. Not everyone knows that story nowadays

12's comment on the 1st Dr's reaction to the Doctor of War montage was something like: "Well, to be fair, they cut out all the jokes..."

I think the Captain was intended to be the Brig's grandfather, and therefore Kate Stewart (of UNIT)'s great-grandfather.

Not sure how seriously I should take the opinions of two girls who think every man with a moustache is hitler... even after seeing him face off against a German in WW1 and hearing his accent.

I think I just stumbled upon a silver lining to the whole lost footage thing. Obviously it’s never fun when a scene goes missing, but missing footage is actually an integral part of the show’s history. Back in the 60S & ‘70s, the BBC would save money by reusing video tape, wiping complete episodes out of existence. In fact, the footage of the First Doctor’s regeneration is pretty much the only surviving scene from that particular episode. And that’s only because another show borrowed the clip. Ironically, Doctor Who is responsible for saving about 10 seconds of a rare Beatles performance because of similar circumstances. Point is, if anyone makes you feel bad about the missing scene, I say you think about it as having a connection with the show’s early production teams who probably went through the same thing.

but it looked like the doctor recognized the name....

I don't ever recall Hitler being British

I won't lie, found it both hilarious and puzzling that they thought the captain was hilter until the end of the episode 😂 😂 😂

It's a shame in my eyes people interpreted that Jodie inadvertently destroyed the TARDIS & it rejected her. I never thought this even then. When Jodie presses a button on the console the monitor clearly says (Warning: Multiple Operation Faliures) I likened it to switching a light on in room full of gas. It's regretful that the monitor flashed this for less than a split second imo. In end everything was going wrong so the TARDIS dumped The Doctor out knowing the fall might not kill her as established in David's time she was in the first 12 hours of her regeneration cycle (Christmas Invasion ref) I was convinced that S11 would start with her falling to Earth and breaking every bone in her body to only use regen to snap them back together. In my eyes the TARDIS saved The Doctor in a rush as it knew that room was about to explode as Peter held it off for so long.

Thanks for everything you do Bri!! It's such a shame it cut off there. Cest La vie

Actually, judging by Captain's age in 1914, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart (the one the Third Doctor encounters in Classic Who) is actually probably one of the Captain's sons or grandsons (depending upon if the Captain made it out of WWI; the actor who played the Brigadier [and thus his character] was born in 1929, about 15 years later).

Getting the Clara reaction was a nice consolation. And I was pleasantly surprised by the reaction to the ceasefire

Tom Conlon

Omfg, totally not your fault but watched the entire reaction, couldn't wait to see you guys react to the regeneration then THAT! An unfortunate massive anti climax 😔

If I remember the Captain becomes the Army's over seer for the 3rd Doctor when he is banished on Earth, hopefully re-watching the Whitaker's shows with you guys will help me try to get on her side....

Lost footage aside, thank you for your hard work in getting this video out there. I know some of the comments on YouTube regarding the missing episode have been...less than positive, but most of us appreciate everything you do to keep us entertained. And hopefully YouTube & The BBC will ease up on the copyright stuff. 🙂

You should react to An Adventure In Time and Space it's about the creation of Doctor Who it stars David Bradley as William Hartnell who they brought back to play The First Doctor in this special

This episode was also pretty much Murry Gold's Greatest Hits album considering he also left the series so he clearly brought back a lot of Fan's favorite Themes. Wasn't a fan of the "rejecting the Doctor" theory, The TARDIS control room was blowing up it had to kick her out to save her.

YAY! Ignore my last comment! lol
