Thank you so much! Ah I was thinking Northern England. I lived in the UK for a while but never made it to Birmingham. Yeah I'm really enjoying the series so far and all the characters are so interesting.

The Brothers Arthur Tommy John all went to world war 1 Ada and little Finn make up the children. Aunt Polly brought up the children her brother was the Shelby childrens Dad. And Uncle Charlie was a relation on his mothers side. They are gypsys so there is a lot of gypsy traditions and superstitions. War has affected all the men and noone came back the same. Cillian Murphy is actually from Cork in Republic of Ireland and Sam Neil was born in Ireland but lives in New Zealand. Its a show which draws you in and makes you fall in love with the characters and root for them.
