As others have said, the first half of season 1 is a bit rocky (not bad, just takes them a bit to figure out what they want the show to be) but once it picks up, it honestly does not ever stop getting better. As much as I love the CW shows, every so often they have an episode that is either just a "meh" filler episode, or an episode that doesn't seem that great until something is revealed later on in the season, but SHIELD never suffers from those problems (post Winter Soldier at least). It's without question my favorite comic-book/super-hero show on tv right now for sure, if not my favorite tv show in general. Hope you girls continue to enjoy it as well!

Even 1st couple of seasons are not bad -- They re in par with DC Shows -- But shit starts getting real season 3 onwards and season 4 and 5 is just the best stuff you have seen in a long time.

Also, this takes place right after Iron Man 3. Only bringing that up because its kind of important. Thor the Dark World happens around episode 8 and Winter Soldier happens around episode 16.

Now that we know different. well I can only say there is more to come. I now have all 4 seasons on DVD. And have seen them all but its cool going over them again.
