Before You Paint!

A few Patrons have asked me questions about my set up, mainly about the wet pallet but I included some additional information. Enjoy!

Before You Paint!

Comments

Hey Matt! Wow, sorry for the delay. Patreon doesn't notify me when new comments are made. Basically every pallet I've encountered, P3, Redgrass, and masterson's come with thick paper that breaks down into particles and absorbs paints made for miniatures. In the case of Masterson's they get a pass because they haven't branded themselves as a miniature painting product. I use a masterson's pallet with parchment paper. The masterson's pallet is also half the price of the other brands. I've been approached by redgrass for a sponsorship but didn't reply because I can't promote products I don't believe in. The scheme with most discount codes is that the company marks up the price and when you apply the discount from a particular artist, it's still overpriced, which is the part that makes me especially disappointed. I've ranted a bit here but I hope this helps :)

Maybe I'm being dense but are you referring to the Everlasting Wet Palette? I thought their paper was basically just glorified pre-cut parchment paper. I know the Masterson palette comes with paper for heavy body acrylics but they don't market to miniature painters.

Hopefully this video will encourage you to give it another try :) Had to clear up the disinformation out there.

I'm glad I'm not the only who hated the paper my wet pallette came with.. A wet pallette that stays dry.....👎
