Homestead Tour Part 1
Added 2024-06-01 11:40:50 +0000 UTCI totally thought I would get it all in one go, but I think it's best to split it in half. Next week I'll put out part 2.

2024-06-01 18:58:17 +0000 UTCI bought the goats they are registered so you can follow their pedigree. It's important with milking goats making sure they have good genetics behind them for things like milk production/taste, conformation so they can handle having babies and hood udders to support years of milking. They are also more valuable being registered and the babies sell for more. I love giving pets to all my goats they love it

2024-06-01 18:57:34 +0000 UTCDo you find the goats, breed them and sell them or do you buy them, breed them and sell them? I've seen baby goats up close before and they're quite cute. When I was a kid, I remember going to this farm/homestead in New Jersey with my dad to buy eggs and chicken and I would always see these baby goats running about. They were very friendly. My dad did not take kindly to me petting the goats though lol.

2024-06-01 16:59:34 +0000 UTCRight not Dick lmao The place itself is not very old but we've designed it in a way that makes it look old lol...rustic design reminiscent of old mining camps or ranches. With the weather I worry about extreme heat and the animals. You can spray them down, make sure there is shade. As long as we have water that part is ok. The other potential is for flooding, and hail damage. For the most part AZ ...knock on wood... doesn't have tons of Natural disasters. Flooding and drought seem to be the biggest. Maybe hail/wind damage I'm so happy you enjoyed here's to part 2 cheersπ₯°

2024-06-01 15:06:47 +0000 UTCThis was highly informative and entertaining. I learned how not to name an animal "Dick" if you don't want him to act like a dick lol. Your place looks so big. Your goats are cute and friendly which I thought was cool and heartwarming. I was impressed with how you've managed to balance YouTube/Patreon, your duties at the homestead while having some time for yourself. How old is this place? How do you plan for weather events? I know it's Arizona, but weather can be unpredictable these days. Anyway, I can't wait to see part 2. Hope you have a safe and wonderful start to the weekend.
