Chapter 16 is up! This one took.........................way longer than it should. I pushed myself a little past the point of my brain's comfortable activity once or twice, which you can fully see in the process video. I thought about cutting it out, but that would be 1000% disingenuous and inauthentic. Art is not always efficient, and I think it is important to show struggles when they happen. Art in social media only lets us see the finished product, and budding (and veteran!) artists might feel discouraged at this illusion of speed and ease a constant stream of beautiful art tends to create. The reality of drawing stuff is, its hard, and time consuming, and takes a lot of practice. Some days are better than others, but even the hard times are practice hours that lend to overall skill development. The process video is 16x sped up, so this page took about 9 hours to draw, not counting a bunch of 3d modeling noodling I did with the PC and didn't record. Its probably closer to 10 or 11 hours of work. I am SUPER pleased with how it came out though! And I learned a lot about my process, and some of my strengths and deficits while doing it. I'm happy.
