Hosts Josh and Jamie discuss two starkly different approaches to apocalyptic, Cold War nuclear anxiety with a double feature of Stanley Kubrick's iconic DR. STRANGELOVE (1964) which took mutually assured destruction policies and realized them in tense thriller logic and slapstick farce simultaneously and Mick Jackson's THREADS (1984), a gruesome, procedurally-detailed docudrama and warning about what a nuclear holocaust might actually look and feel like on the ground level.
See you all in a week's time where we'll be back with two special guests talking about the right-wing, warmongering side of Red Scare action trash: RED DAWN (1984) and RED SCORPION (1988). Keep it sleazy!
