2020-04-11 05:31:32 +0000 UTCGreat show guys! Stoked for my shoutout being on this episode, the original TCM is one of my all-time favorite films. Since Jamie was wondering about the finger scene, what happened was there was tape over the blade and a small tube that was supposed to deliver the fake blood. (the same prop used when the hitchhiker cut his hand in the van. The issue is, they were in a small room filled with people in over 100 degrees in a texas summer, so the fake blood kept clotting. After like an hour of trying to get the shot, Gunnar Hansen (Leatherface) just said fuck it, and took the tape off without telling anyone and cut her finger for real. So yeah, all those screams and sounds of slurping blood are real.
