Leon’s slowly maturing character is fun to watch—even if he makes me want to slam my head on a desk sometimes. it makes sense Leon wouldn’t want to consider the other people he knows may be hurting Gilbert, especially in their home. 2) this is definitely the “I killed someone too” confession G made to Ida, and its hard to tell if he still thinks that he caused his abuser’s death. We know he clearly thinks if he shares who is hurting him, people will hate him. I think indulging/allowing whomever it is to continue this abuse is Gilbert’s way of self-harming—if it was sexual, Elias would likely know. G clearly doesn’t think he deserves to be cared for and protected. I really hope he’s not being hurt by someone younger than him, like Mio.
