Tombstone (1993) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

It's time for a western!! 🤩🤠

The downside of watching such an amazing film is that I expect all westerns to be this fantastic 😅

An amazing cast, such amazingly interesting characters, and so much fun! Val Kilmer is such a stand out actor in this, I absolutely loved Doc!

It's a movie where time just flies by because I'm so engrossed and loving every single second of the film 🤩

I'm excited to check out more westerns 🤠🐴

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much for being here and watching along with me!!

I just looked up the actors in Silverado, and wow!

I've seen Deadwood mentioned a few times, and remember hearing great things about it when I was younger!! I would love to make westerns, but obviously I'd want to star in them, so I'm not sure how I'd managed to do that. As far as I know, there aren't many female-led westerns 🤔

Clint Eastwood has a vast filmography that I need to tap into more! I'm VERY interested in watching more westerns, so far they're a fantastic bunch of movies!! Here is "Flags of Our Fathers" in case you missed it: https://www.patreon.com/posts/flags-of-our-98722946 I do need to see "Letters from Iwo Jima" though!

It's just fantastic! There's no way of knowing how much I'll enjoy a movie that people recommend!! I'll be watching it more than once, that's for sure

Ahh, I had no idea that a huckle bearer was a thing, so that never crossed my mind haha, thanks for that! Ringo committed suicide? That's a very different outcome, I would love to be able to know why. Being able to time travel and read minds would be a very interesting combination lol

Slightly 🤣

Dances with Wolves (1990) and Silverado (1985) are two very different approaches to modern westerns.

Westerns are so broad with so many eras to pick from, from the early black and whites, the later campy series, spaghetti westerns. They kinda died after the 60s and into the 70s, big names started aging out or moving on. As odd as it sounds young guns kinda made the fun again and started a new resurgence. The cast in this one was huge, even the minor characters had long serving actors buried in there. A spectacular western set tv series you might enjoy Deadwood has a couple actors from this movie in it and more great additions. 3 short seasons and a movie to wrap up.

I can't wait for your reaction to "Unforgiven" the one starring Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman! I like it as much as this one, maybe better. Those two and "...Liberty Valance" plus "true Grit" the Jeff Bridges version are my favorite westerns. Michael Behin said that line about the devil. What an actor, Kyle Reese, Johnny Ringo and the one marine that was nice to Ripley in "Aliens" So glad you recognized him! For Clint I need to add his masterpiece " The Outlaw Josey Wales". For historical drama WW2 movie directed by Clint, "Flags of Our Fathers" is an amazing movie.

All time great movie, glad you liked it. Can't count how many times I've seen it.

Wyatt Earp was a legendary figure in the Old West, although a major part of his legendary status was due to the fact he lived long enough to be a movie consultant when Hollywood started making western movies. As a result, there are *many* westerns based on his life. This movie is a fairly accurate rendition of his autobiography (although the truthfulness of his autobiography is a matter of some debate). Having said that, many of the events in the movie (such as the gunfight at the OK Corral) actually did happen. One of the major events in the movie that probably did not happen was the gunfight between Doc Holliday and Johnny Ringo. The coroner's report ruled Johnny Ringo committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, and that's likely what happened. The Huckleberry/Huckle Bearer "controversy" is that some people swear that Doc Holliday was saying "I'm your huckle bearer". A huckle is the handle on a coffin, so that would mean Doc was saying "I'll carry your coffin." "I'm your huckleberry" is actually a colloquialism from the South meaning "I'll do it" or "I'm the man for the job".

Oh I was way off on the genre question.
