Fallout 1x06 (2024) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

THE PLOT THICKENS!

I can say that for every episode 🀣

I knew Moldaver was going to be important, and I'm glad we're getting more information about her!!

I absolutely love this series and need more like it 😁

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much everyone for your support, you are amazing!!

My absolute pleasure in sharing, and I completely agree with what you said! You say it in much better words than me haha. I knew that Moldaver would be like a final boss, and hoped we would get a bit more information as we go through the season. I'm still so interested in seeing Norm's storyline, especially now that we know that he knows something's up with his mom's pip-boy being used by raiders. Damn Bud Askins... what a guy. You can FEEL Cooper's frustration and annoyance with him so well!! I am so excited to see Moldaver again, things are going to be NUTS! I don't know who will reach her first, or if they'll all get there are the same time because they'll have teamed up (that's my guess right there!). I just want to see more series so immersive and captivating as this!

This is my favourite episode from the show so far. That's not to say 7 and 8 aren't exceptional, they are, but this one was so tightly written and crafted. It's got such strong themes running through it - what is and isn't a cult is obviously the big one. But the scenes from the past also give an incredible snapshot of social corrosion and the build-up to the Great War. The entire conversation between Cooper and Charlie was pure gold; the ad at the beginning was gold; the party was so informative. And, lol, Bud Askins. The Moldaver reveal juxtaposed with the ritual is the crown jewel of the episode for me. I get goosebumps every time I rewatch this scene. For someone who's had such minimal screentime over these six episodes, they've been very successful at building her up as a larger-than-life figure. I've watched plenty of reactors go through this show, and your reactions are excellent - it's why I subbed after all, making my opinion self-evident. Thanks for sharing this with us. Can't wait to join you for the two final episodes!

Alecta's Shadow

I don't think it would have been solved peacefully if they would have explained what was going on on Level 12 🀣 "Oh hey, we're doing human experimentation down there, it's totally cool πŸ™ƒ" Lucy wouldn't just say "Okey dokey" and go on her merry way 🀣 I believe your comments are not taking into account ONLY what has been shown up to that episode. Your comment on the previous episode where we saw Cooper's wife for the first time was extreme for what was shown, but you have way more information than me, so that seems to have affected what you said. You instantly seemed to make her a villain and made her out to be extremely manipulative when that was not the case at all. I believe their intention is to set up the relationship and show us how it gets torn apart. And to do that, you first show them as a loving couple (previous episode). The next step is to start showing some distrust and conflict (this episode). Then you go even further and reveal that things are definitely not what we thought at the beginning (I'm assuming the next episode or next time we see an episode with Cooper and his wife in the past). Story structure wise, you don't immediately show someone to be manipulative, because then you question why the hell they were together. "Blinded by love" despite being manipulated is not a strong choice for the beginning of a story that we know they end up divorced. The point is to create conflict and slowly show a character's true nature. You have to build things up.

The social commentary is strong on this one, but more about that later...πŸ™‚πŸ˜‰ The extra-nose guy is the doctor that removed the tooth from Maximus' shoulder. I love how we learn more about our two main characters by their reaction to the vault society. Lucy, initially happy to be in a vault, gets weirded out by all the mutated people and the (in her eyes) wierd rituals, as she isn't used to this from her vault. Maximus on the other hand couldn't care less, as mutations are pretty normal for a surface dweller. He is weirded out by them being friendly and caring with each other. He doesn't know this kind of friendly behaviour, as the Brotherhood lives by completely different standards. They win him over with all the luxury he didn't even knew existed. In the end both have changed their impression of vault 4 to the complete opposite. I guess it could all have been solved peaceful if Birdy or the overseer simply explained to Lucy what was going on on level 12, but then again they took them in friendly and welcoming and asked them politely to repspect their rules and to not go to level 12. Lucy should have respected that, but her own prejudices let her jump to conclusions and she promptly gets in trouble...πŸ€” Of course she doesn't understand their little (and completely voluntary I might add) ritual. If you transfer this to the real world just look at how disturbing and weird many religious rituals appear to people who don't know this religion and take everything they experience literally. πŸ€”πŸ™‚ By now you surely must see the tension between Cooper and his wif that was already hinted at. Just like with the photo shoot in ep. 3 - as soon as he begins to ask inconvenient questions about Vault-Tec she deflects and tries to change the subject. I believe her when she talks about her feat of losing her loved ones, but she uses her emotional outburst to distract him and - like every good politician - to not answer his questions. He wants to know about radioactive protection of th suits - she allows her subordinate to lie to him. He wants to know who makes the rules and she deflects with a long monologue about her fears and worries. She slips and lets out internal classfied information when she tells him about the "good" vaults (you can see in her face that she knows she fucked up the moment she said it). Later again when she talks about the "no dogs in the vaults" rule, something she clearly didn't plan to share with her husband. And she doesn't include him in the important decisions about their family. See the wrap party he knew nothing about or the whole vault stuff. He is naive (or in love) enough to buy his wifes answers and even apologize to her, even though the argument derailing wasn't his fault. Bit by bit you get a feeling why they end up divorced...πŸ€”
