Romance poll!!
Added 2025-01-18 19:00:10 +0000 UTCLove is in the air soon, so it's time to watch a romance movie!
We have movies from 1942 to 2023 in this one, so there's a nice variety, and I cannot even begin to imagine what the results will be.
This poll is a bit different, since I'm making it public which means everyone can vote! Next week I'll have a Patreon poll up, so keep an eye out for that one! 😈
As always, you can vote for multiple movies, and this poll will end on January 24th at 11am EST / 4pm UTC!
Have fun voting!

😂 Me too. "Sabrina" is another Audrey Hepburn classic. Very charming. 😊

2025-01-20 18:15:41 +0000 UTCNever saw Lost, not a J.J. Abrams fan. did not realize he was in that. Sanada is fantastic as always. One thing I love about him is that he actually knows what he’s doing kenjitsu (swordsmanship) wise, he is legitimately an expert paractioner. One of my favorite fight scenes in a samurai film, is in The Twilight Samurai. One of my favorite stories is between him and Tom Cruise on the set of the Last Samurai. Love when they find someone that knows what they are doing.

2025-01-19 23:29:14 +0000 UTCHiroyuki Sanada? I'm instantly interested! I actually first saw him in Lost haha

2025-01-19 23:22:52 +0000 UTC@silverarrow06 the only Sabrina I know is a teenage witch 🤣

2025-01-19 23:21:51 +0000 UTCAnother great set of films, not for this list of course, but fall in this category… Twilight Samurai (Oscar Nominated) Hidden Blade Love & Honor A trilogy of films by Yôji Yamada, by the title I’m sure they don’t come across as “ romance films”, but they are incredible. Masterpieces all three. Twilight Samurai stars Hiroyuki Sanada (Shogun and Last Samurai) who gives incredible performance across the board.

2025-01-19 22:06:41 +0000 UTCI'm glad to see it's getting votes though! I know someone who has been mentioning it to me for a while now :D

2025-01-19 19:20:03 +0000 UTCI doubt it'll win, but I'm just happy to see Harold and Maude in the mix. It's pretty unique and should be better known.

2025-01-19 18:51:25 +0000 UTCOh I hope it is "Grumpy Old Men" or "Sabrina" (original). But I'm not worried if it's not them, it is a good list with many classics...😊

2025-01-19 18:42:37 +0000 UTCI can guarantee that at least 1 movie from that list will be watched soon! Thanks for the recommendations. Also, I recently saw that there's a new TV series for "The Count of Monte Cristo".

2025-01-19 03:36:00 +0000 UTCI completely understand when you say that you can't include everyone's recommendations on a single poll. Once you start making a list, it can grow quite quickly. For future consideration: "Six Days, Seven Nights" (1998) "The Last of the Mohicans" (1992 version) "Milk Money" (1994) "The Count of Monte Cristo" (2002 version) "Shining Through" (1992) "Grumpy Old Men" (1993) "Robin and Marian" (1976) "The Prince and the Showgirl" (1957) "Sabrina" (1995 remake) "Sabrina" (1954 original) "The African Queen" (1951) Not to my tastes, but considered top tier by others: "From Here To Eternity" (1953) "The Bridges of Madison County" (1995) "It Happened one Night" (1934)

2025-01-19 03:23:57 +0000 UTCHey Joe!! Having only seen Jack Nicholson in the Shining, I can't imagine him in a rom com!! 🤣

2025-01-19 01:36:31 +0000 UTCHey Vero. Glad to be part of your channel on here. First and foremost, I’m glad to see Casablanca is winning the poll. It’s an all time classic and can’t wait for you to see it. However a personal favorite of mine that’s also figured on this poll is As Good as it Gets. I’m not a fan of rom coms, but this one should be checked out at some point. It features an all star cast, including Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt. Plus a cute dog, that you’ll appreciate. It’s currently at # 3 in the poll. Hope you get to see it.

2025-01-19 01:08:08 +0000 UTCI was just explaining why it may have not been reacted to. I appreciate the suggestion, it's not a movie I'd heard of
Verowak
2025-01-19 00:46:46 +0000 UTCObviously. 🙄 That's why I'M suggesting it to you, so now, you can start putting it on polls, & who knows, maybe in a year or 2, it'll win. Or, you can ignore my suggestion completely, remain a slave to the crowd & never be adventurous. You could've just thanked me for the suggestion, I'm trying to turn you on to a good movie. 'Venezuela Girl Reacts' actually reacted to it a month ago, & it was very refreshing to see.

2025-01-19 00:41:54 +0000 UTCI will say, animated movies do horrible on my channel so it's possible that I just don't have the audience that watch animated movies.

2025-01-19 00:25:41 +0000 UTCOk, so Casablanca is winning for good reason, I think it’s an exceptionally good movie. However, it pains me to see Your Name with so few votes, it’s a modern masterpiece, clearly not enough people here have seen it, so the only sensible option is to watch it too, as honourable runner up🙏
James Hadden
2025-01-19 00:21:06 +0000 UTCIt's possible that not many people have ever suggested that movie, which could be why it hasn't been reacted to much if at all. We can't always react to every single movie that is recommended, sadly 😅

2025-01-19 00:18:43 +0000 UTCHow is True Romance not an option? 🤔😂

2025-01-18 22:00:22 +0000 UTCHi Vero, my handle on YT is 'deepermind'. Just wanted to suggest another romance movie that has thus far been largely ignored in the 'reactorverse', namely the appropriately titled "Love Story" (1970). It was a smash hit at the time, starring Ryan O'Neal & Ali MacGraw, 2 hot actors seen mostly in '70s movies. It really deserves wider attention, although it is very much of its time, it is also timeless. Cheers! 💖

2025-01-18 21:56:33 +0000 UTCAfter seeing Heath Ledger in A Knight's Tale, I'm curious to see him in more movies! Plus Julia Stiles is in it too, so that's a bonus!
Verowak
2025-01-18 21:19:34 +0000 UTCHow humble of you 🤣 I do want to get to all the movies on this poll at some point, sadly there isn't enough time in a day for me to watch everything. If I had clones though, it may be possible !
Verowak
2025-01-18 21:18:59 +0000 UTCYep, Roman Holiday is less known but the better movie (Of course I'm always right and everyone should just see it my way ;)), but Casablanca is the more popular well know movie.
Scott Howard
2025-01-18 21:08:04 +0000 UTCLooks like Casablanca is probably gonna run off with this one, but bring 10 Things and As Good As It Gets back on a poll soon... Both are top-tier 90s classics that have been largely overlooked by reaction channels so far.

2025-01-18 20:30:24 +0000 UTCI'm not surprised that "Your Name" is your favourite! 😄

2025-01-18 19:43:48 +0000 UTCMy absolute favorites in this poll are "Your Name" (by far) and "Roman Holiday". Audrey Hepburn is always hit, never miss...😉😊

MrDannySteele
2025-01-18 19:40:45 +0000 UTCShe could do it as a Patreon exclusive and then not really have to deal with that. A lot of reactors do this for movies that have a reputation for being difficult to deal with.

2025-01-18 19:32:17 +0000 UTCAh no, I think it's a winner for sure
