To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Another reactr request, coming through!

First off, Gregory Peck has a very smooth voice, he would have been perfect for audiobooks. Secondly, holy jeepers what an amazing movie. I love how it's from Scout's point of view, and her attitude and not putting up with anything is fantastic. Scout and Atticus are both such amazing characters.

My favourite scene is when Atticus takes a lamp and goes to sit outside of where Tom is sleeping. Just that one act shows us how great of a person he is.

Everyone should watch this movie and hopefully understand it as well.

I think the title is particularly amazing, since we hear Atticus' story about it in the beginning, and it applies to both Tom and Boo πŸ₯°

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much everyone for your support, you are amazing!!

I couldn't do this without you <3

The message will never be unimportant, I hope we can all be more like Atticus Finch, he's such a hero

This is one of those movies whose title I'd heart most of my life, but didn't get to see if 'til after my feeble attempt at college. πŸ˜† But it instantly became a favorite! The message is as important today as it ever was.

Roman Holiday is or should be the standard for all Rom Coms

Scott Howard

I loved and still do love Mythbusters RIP Grant. You should check out Arsenic and Old Lace which stars Cary Grant and is very funny.

That's such a great scene! It really is a work of art, everything is well told and shown. I didn't know that about the actress who played Mayella, but it makes complete sense. In an audition, they want to see you be the character, and she understood the assignment! It's tough though, because they could have decided to go a completely different route for whatever reason, also.

Verowak

I don't think I've heard of Cary Grant πŸ€” The only thing I think of what I hear that is "Kari, Grant and Tori" from the Mythbusters πŸ˜‚

Verowak

Thank you πŸ₯° Atticus is my hero

Verowak

I've seen Roman Holiday mentioned quite a bit before, could be a good one to check out soon!

Verowak

They did such a great job showing us how amazing Atticus Finch is!

One of my favorite scenes was when the kids are talking about their mom before going to sleep and the camera slowly moving out and bringing Atticus into the shot. It's a small thing but I thought it was a brilliant choice. It told you all you needed to know about the family dynamic in one shot. Another story about this I don't see mentioned a lot is the actress who played Mayella Ewell, I saw an interview with her and she talked about how she auditioned for the part. She went and bought a second hand dress and didn't put on make up and made he hair listless and showed up to the audition that way. She said all the girls there were dressed all pretty like southern bells, she couldn't understand why they showed up that way. Anyway she obviously got the part and the dress she is wearing in the movie is the dress she bought, in fact they wanted her to look exactly the way she did in the audition. Anyway I won't bloviate any further. Haven't watch the reaction yet but will shortly. Oh and I love the music in this film, it's magical

Another name is Cary Grant. Cary Grant stars in North By Northwest (1959), a movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It's one of my favorite films.

Carl Evans

Beautiful movie. Good reaction, Vero.

Other outstanding Gregory Peck films to watch are Roman Holiday (1953) with Audrey Hepburn, Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound (1945), and the original Cape Fear (1962).

Hunter DeRensis

This movie is considered one of the greatest movies ever made. It was nominated for 8 Oscars and won three. The American Film Institute voted Atticus Finch the greatest movie hero of all times and it was voted the greatest courtroom drama. I am would not be surprised if many didn’t have to read the original book in high school.
