The Fugitive (1993) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

The winner of our runner-up poll!

Again, Harrison Ford keeps starring in fantastic movies!

The chase throughout the entire movie never got boring! I really thought he would get caught so many times, but he didn't. It's nice that both characters are smart, it makes it all the more interesting to watch.

I'd love to know what movies Tommy Lee Jones is known for (aside from MiB, and I know he's in either Children of Men or No Country for Old Men)

Another fun 90s movie... I feel like I need a poll for terrible 90s movies to know that they exist 🀣

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much everyone for your support, you are amazing!!

The Fugitive (1993) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Comments

Well the only thing I was wondering while watching this reaction with you... What or why you did not make a connection between this film and the limb loss in most Star Wars movie!! What the @#$% woman!! I was for sure waiting to have a lol that this should be in the SW cannon.. lol anyways great reaction!!

WhatTheExpletive

It feels like some years just have a butt load of bangers!

Verowak

Ah, another classic from 1993. I also saw this one multiple times in theaters. It's crazy what an embarrassment of riches 1993 apparently was for movies. In addition to "The Fugitive" and "Dave," there was "Schindler's List," "Jurassic Park," "The Sandlot" ... the list goes on.

WastedPo

I get that feeling completely. A great movie is one that ends way too soon haha.

Verowak

It's one of the few movies I re-watch and can't think of anything I'd change with the script or scenes I'd cut. And I'm always disappointed when it ends. Modern action movies usually run an hour longer than the story requires.

Matt D

He's also really funny in "Men In Black."

Matt D

My pleasure! I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction πŸ₯° I think I automatically assume some actors play good guys, so Harrison Ford being the killer didn't really fit my narrative. This is why I love seeing a movie where the popular actor turns out to be evil, since I always expect them to be the good guy lol. Like if Tom Hanks is in a movie and people are claiming he killed someone, I will assume that he is framed, or he had to kill the person in self-defense or a valid reason of some kind lol. I bet you pick up on a lot more things upon rewatch, and get to see how clever and tight the script is!

Verowak

Plus, with the real locomotive, now it's a tourist attraction 🀣

Verowak

No Country for Old Men will definitely be watched this year, and I think a couple of others are planned as well!

Verowak

Oooh, I want to see that version now! That would have been really fun, especially if Tommy Lee Jones played that role still.

Verowak

That kind of sense of humour is my favourite! So far, Tommy Lee Jones is one of my favourite comedic actors 🀣

Verowak

I have a feeling that any Tommy Lee Jones movie is worth seeing lol

Verowak

Thanks for another great reaction video. I remember seeing this movie in the theater when it came out and was blown away. It was easier to avoid spoilers in 1993 so I had no idea where the story was going or whether Kimble was innocent or guilty. It was also one of the first movies I bought on DVD. Definitely a rewatchable.

Matt D

During production, it turned out to be less expensive to crash a real locomotive into a real bus than to do it with miniatures. Harrison Ford running away from the derailed train was then shot against a rear projection screen using footage from the crash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raalmAFeloA

@JAKH Ah, you're right! Finally looked it up and I was thinking of the sequel with Katherine Heigl playing his young niece. I saw both movies but it's been many years and they blurred together, lol.

ButtercupsTrueLove

Good movies based on TV shows: "Maverick" (1994) Mel Gibson, Jodi Foster, James Garner, James Coburn "The Equalizer" (2014) Denzel Washington, David Harbour, Chloe Grace Moretz. Directed by Antoine Fuqua "The Equalizer 2" (2018) Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal. Directed by Antoine Fuqua "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (2015) Harry Cavill, Jared Harris. Directed by Guy Ritchie "The Addams Family" (1991) "Elvira Mistress of the Dark" (1988) "Dark Shadows" (2012) Johnny Depp, Directed by Tim Burton. Music by Danny Elfman. and a lot of so-so ones: "Charlie's Angels" "Miami Vice" "The Green Hornet" "S.W.A.T." "The Saint" "The A-Team" "Starsky and Hutch" "21 Jump Street" "I Spy" "Get Smart" "Wild Wild West" "Baywatch"

JAKH

The only woman in "Under Siege" is Erika Eleniak from the "Baywatch" TV series (and Playboy Magazine)

JAKH

The sequel 4-part miniseries is "Return to Lonesome Dove" (1993). Tommy Lee Jones turned down the Lonesome Dove sequel in order to play Marshall Gerrard in "The Fugitive". Jon Voight turned down the role of Gerrard in the Fugitive in order to take over Tommy Lee Jones's role from Lonesome Dove.

JAKH

One fun bit of trivia I ran across was that, in the original script, Marshall Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones) was the killer. That would have made for an interesting twist....

Chris Gronau

Tommy Lee Jones won a best supporting actor Oscar for this film. Love his sarcastic sense of humor. The scene where they get lost in the underground tunnels and he says, "there's no way out of this place." Too funny.

Matt D

Us marshals is good. I think this one is slightly better but absolutely worth watching to see Sam Gerard again.

Bubba Fett

@Jim Howe: Thanks! I only remembered the characters' roles and where it took place - didn't want to say any plot spoilers in case Verowak happens to watch it someday.

ButtercupsTrueLove

@Verowak: ...both heiresses to the family candy bar fortune.

ButtercupsTrueLove

The film with Tommy Lee Jones and Steven Seagal is 'Under Siege'

jim Howe

That's correct it's a 4 part mini series. The parts are about an hour and 30 minutes each. When I first watched it I wasn't too into it for the first hour, but by then end of that episode I was totally hooked, and drove through 2 feet of snow to get the DVD set, so I could finish watching it.

Scott Howard

Huh, I've only heard of Laura's sister, Veronica 😏🀣 Just with that title, it can be so many different genres, horror being the first one that I think of, but a thriller makes it so much more interesting!

Verowak

It seems that there are a bunch of TV series that have been made into movies (this and Mission Impossible come to mind).

Verowak

Pre-Iron Man RDJ? Interesting!! And seeing Wesley Snipes again would be neat, thank you for that.

Verowak

It seems like it's only 1 season, also!

Verowak

I love how you've seen so many movies in the cinema. Such a stark contrast to my experience! 🀣

Verowak

Whatta ya know, I saw this one at the cinema, too! πŸ€“

AuntVes

The best role for Tommy Lee Jones, in my opinion, is in Lonesome Dove.

Scott Howard

Yes, Tommy Lee Jones was in the movie, "No Country For Old Men". Off the top of my head, Tommy Lee Jones has played a character in "The Eyes of Laura Mars", a thriller directed by Irvin Kershner. TLJ also played opposite Steven Seagal (sp?) in one of the latter's action films. I don't recall the title but it may also have been the film debut of young actress Katherine Heigl of "Grey's Anatomy".

ButtercupsTrueLove

This whole movie is a remake of a classic tv series β€œThe Fugitive” which aired from 1963- 1967. This show was super popular and the series finale still holds the #3 spot for the all-time highest U.S. television household share, at 72%. Both are based on a true crime story that of the Sam Sheppard.

MrDannySteele

There's a direct sequel to this movie, "U.S. Marshals" from 1998, staring Tommy Lee Jones and the rest of his team. Robert Downey Jr. And Wesley Snipes are also in it.
