Runner-up Poll!
Added 2024-12-28 21:22:19 +0000 UTCWe've had a bunch of polls this past year, which means a bunch of runner-ups. This poll has 10 randomly chosen runner-ups, so... good luck, we're all counting on you.
There will be plenty more polls this year, and I'll make sure to check out movies from various decades!!
As usual, you can vote for multiple entries, I'm looking forward to whichever one will win. The poll will end in about a week.
I don't even have a clue which one I think will win, they're all so different!
May the odds be ever in your favour π

@Matt D Also, I wanted to let you know that yes I'll be watching Ahsoka! I'm just watching all the Star wars series in chronological order, so after Rebels, I have Mando S1 and S2, then Boba Fett, then Mando s3 then Ahsoka π

2025-01-01 13:47:02 +0000 UTCI'll be pulling movies from this poll for reactions throughout the year, so not only the winner will be seen π€©

2025-01-01 00:25:19 +0000 UTCUnfortunately most of the others are "more" awesome! (Yes, it's winning - I'm just saying, haha)

2024-12-31 23:45:38 +0000 UTC'In Bruges' is a fantastic place to start! From there I'd recommend 'The Banshees of Inisherin' and 'The Guard', both staring Brendan Gleason.. and maybe down the line if you wanted a more serious film you could watch 'The Wind That Shakes The Barley'.

2024-12-30 06:23:37 +0000 UTCYep, doing a strictly polling format gets you on popular movies. Not necessarily the best movies, but that maybe what you want who knows. Rear Window would be good right now though because we just did It's a wonderful life. Rear window would be Jimmy Stewarts next really great movie.

2024-12-29 19:40:36 +0000 UTC"The Fugitive" is awesome.

2024-12-29 19:33:00 +0000 UTCAn Irish film could be fun! Though I don't know of any that aren't Colin Farrell/Brendan Gleeson haha I've been wanting to watch "In Bruges" and it turns out it's a Martin McDonagh film!

2024-12-29 14:24:34 +0000 UTCGreat minds think alike! Yesterday I worked a bit on setting up future polls for Patreon, and I made decade polls! I tagged you in Discord with my current list since I can't post images here (though the list may change before it gets posted)

2024-12-29 14:18:31 +0000 UTCIβd love to see a 1950s poll at some point. After replying to Scott I decided to look up other 50s movies and wow, so many famous titles Iβve been meaning to watch. Seems like a great decade for a poll.

2024-12-29 07:53:23 +0000 UTCI agree Scott. I was introduced to Rear Window a couple of years ago by another channel and absolutely loved it so Iβd be happy to see it win too, though itβs looking unlikely.

2024-12-29 07:49:26 +0000 UTCAlso, also... St Patrick's day is not too far away. Not a lot of channels do Irish films and they're missing out, especially if you're into dark comedies. If you want to dip your toes into the genre, id super-dy-dooper recommended Martin McDonagh films like 'Seven Sychopaths' and 'In Bruges'. I promise you that you can't go wrong. If you want a taste of just how brilliant Martin McDonagh is (the Writer/director of the films I mentioned), he has a short film called 'Six Shooter', a 15 minute short film (he earned an Oscar for it) that's free on YouTube.. I highly recommend you watch it in your free time

2024-12-29 00:33:33 +0000 UTCPlot twist: the true winner of the poll is the runner up because...well, that's the theme.

2024-12-29 00:29:06 +0000 UTCIt seems to be catching up! It may yet win

2024-12-29 00:14:24 +0000 UTCI've had a lot of people say this, so I definitely need to check it out at some point

2024-12-29 00:14:02 +0000 UTCSome really good movies. The standout film of all them is Rear Window by far. The Fugitive is great but not as good as (the probably less known) Rear Window. Full Metal is great too, but I'm burned out on war movies.
Scott Howard
2024-12-28 23:39:49 +0000 UTCMany good movies!!! Hope Tropic Thunder to win, I'm so curious to see yoir rection!!! π

2024-12-28 22:19:53 +0000 UTCSo many good choices....

2024-12-28 22:14:15 +0000 UTCNo spoilers but they're almost identical in terms of the story.. it'd be hard to differentiate the two
jim Howe
2024-12-28 21:43:23 +0000 UTCClearly they must be very similar movies π€£

2024-12-28 21:33:42 +0000 UTCOof! What a selection of films! I want both 'The Fugitive' and 'Tropic Thunder' to win
