Rebels 3x15 * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Training time! I love seeing people train, and it's really good to see how Kanan has changed and how much he hasn't when it comes to teaching.

And obviously having Ezra be the teaching assistant is fun!

Sabine really needs to be at peace in order to be a great fighter, and Kanan knows just how to push her buttons 🤩

I love this little Ghost family, they care for each other and know each other pretty well. They'll only get closer and closer 🥰

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

The Mandalorian created a lot of their tech to counter or mimic the Force to combat the Jedi. Kanan’s reverence for the saber is part of the culture of the blade, it is difficult to explain. I am an avid fencer so I understand that part of the culture

I forgot to mention that Kanan has Ezra run Sabine through the “Forms”. Sabine is likely learning Form I Shii-Cho which is the most basic form and the tutorial form that everyone learned in the Jedi Order. She is probably also learning Form III Soresu ( an all defensive form) which is what Kanan’s master Depi Billaba favored. In Season 2, Ezra mentioned that he was using Ashoka’s holocron’s of Anakin to help him train so he is also teaching Sabine Form V Shien/Djem So ( which uses heavy counters after deflecting incoming attacks, a form which both Anakin and Ahsoka favored) . He is also using a recording of Anakin that Kanan had in his holocron in which he talks about Form IV Ataru( a very acrobatic and aggressive form, Yoda is the master of this form).

An amazing episode for character development. They did such an amazing job, and I absolutely love Kanan as a teacher and seeing how he doubts his abilities and vents his frustrations to Hera. Then he turns around and knows how to push Sabine's buttons to get her to let it all out 🥰

Personally, I've never played KotOR so I have a hard time remembering what people mention regarding this game. I will play it at some point though!

Yes! I'm always amazed when they fit in a lot of character progression in just one episode! And finally we get a bit more info on Sabine, and it's really interesting

One of my Favourite Episodes of the Series, getting more actual Lore on the Darksaber was awesome! And Sabine getting such character progression in a very well done way basically pushing her to her breaking point to open up

Unfortunately not, He is just talking about a War with Mandalorians that happened sometime in the past. The only canonical reference is a brief and indirect one in the book The High Republic: Light of the Jedi.

MrDannySteele

Everyone need to understand that ALL of the Knights of the Old Republic material is LEGENDS, so is NOT canon. So STOP using it. They have been doing Old Republic stuff in novel form, so please keep it Canon so as not to confuse people. In the canon novel “Shadow of the Sith” made a mention of an ancient Sith Lord named Revan but that is all that is said. The lore that Fenn Rau dropped about the Darksaber has become one of the best parts of a great episode.

That final training scene is one of those standout scenes for me in all of Star Wars. It's action, it's drama, it's character writing and it's lore all in one, not to mention the animation and the music. It's crazy how one single episode furthers Sabine as a character that would normal take a small handful of episodes, as well as furthering Kanan's role as a teacher.

I like the flashback sequence they did for the history of the darksaber. They made sure to line up the story with what was told in legends and in the Knights of the Old Republic games, which takes place not long after those events of the first Mandalorian Jedi.

One of my favorite episodes in the series. And one of the most important for Sabine. Some things I liked were the choreography, Kanan's line, "History lesson, the Jedi won the War with Mandalore!", likely in reference to the Mandalorian Wars between Mandalorians under Mandalore The Ultimate vs the Jedi prior to the events of the first Knights of The Old Republic game and then losing because of Revan. I believe this is the first time we're hearing Sabine's theme, it plays most prominently in her fight with Kanan at the end, and a few times in the episode like in her conversation with Ezra about the Dark Saber and her parents. Really liked the emotion towards the end and how the Ghost Crew stands with her, they're her family too.
