Rebels 3x01 * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Whoa there Ezra!!!

You will do what I say and you will LIKE IT! That's the vibes I'm getting from him.

He's taping into the dark side. He has to become stronger, more powerful in order for his friends to not get hurt. It's a slippery slope Ezra, be careful!

Communication is always a reason for friction between characters. Kanan and Ezra... just talk! lol

And now I finally get to learn more about Thrawn! I saw him in Tales of the Empire, so this will be fun. He seems like a smart cookie though, so Rebels beware!

Kanan is going to learn to see with the Force. I have to say, Bendu looks a lot like he belongs in World of Warcraft 🀣

So I guess this season will be Ezra trying to resist the dark side... I'm excited!!!

Also... EZRA BASICALLY MIND CONTROLLED SOMEONE!!! 😍 That's it Ezra... tap into the dark side 😈

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Having their base on Bendu's back reminds me of an indie game that I played where you actually build your base on a creature's back! 🀣

An original idea was that the Rebels built their base on Bendu’s back and the crew would return to the base only to find it gone because Bendu moved. Bendu mentions the β€œAshla and the Bogan” which was the original names for the light and dark sides respectively in George Lucas’ original screenplay . Thrawn is from the Chiss species , which comes from the Unknown Regions of the Galaxy and are extremely isolationist species. He is unique among the Imperial military for him not be human because the Empire has a extreme anti-alien sentiment and would not usually allow for an non human to rise in the ranks of the Empire

The beard suits him so well! I guess as Ezra develops, the light saber changing colour can make sense. Developing his powers and figuring himself out. 🀣A perfect way for "somehow Palpatine returned" to not be as bad 😏 The helicopter sabers are just ridiculous, at least I'm glad that they didn't have that in any live action show (that I know of πŸ˜‚)

Verowak

Yes!! They unknowingly become semi-villains but with good intentions. It's very jarring to see Ezra so different, but the dark side makes sense. I do hope he manages to tap into it while resisting it!!

He has a way with words 🀣

"Purple Guy! Mando Girl! Ezra!" I love Hondo so much

So this seems the be the case for everyone whenever they start using the dark side at all, it's just like the One Ring in Lord of the Rings. All the wise "good" characters don't want to touch it even for the desire to do good with it. Anakin wanted it to save Padme and we saw how that went. Ezra wants it to protect his friends... and in doing so is driving them away and as we see at the end of the episode seemingly willing to actively put them in danger through his power-induced arrogance that he now knows best. It looks like it's going to be an interesting arc and we'll have see what they do with it!

Time skip I think is about 6 months to a year from S2. Big fan of Kanans look with the beard think it suits him way more. Ezra used to have a blue lightsaber, not sure why he switched to green I'm sure there's some comic or snippet about it somewhere. And I didn't comment on the S2 finale but man the helicopter sabers might just be the most ridiculous thing in Star Wars. And I had to listen to the line "Somehow Palpatine returned" so that's saying something.

That's my thoughts exactly! It's hard to remember that Ezra is just a regular kid. a Realistic kid, and kids/teenagers aren't really the picture of patience and understanding. Kanan is also bad at it, but considering his upbringing at the Jedi temple, then running for his life, it makes sense to distance yourself and not know how to deal with conflict. There's always something that prevents them from talking!! Damn holocron, you were at the wrong place at the wrong time! 🀣 I have a feeling that they'll get through it, they just need a sort of wake up call lol

Verowak

I think what I'm getting Between Kanan & Ezra is that after what they both went through after Malachor considering what happened that was a time when they should've leaned on each other and talk but instead Kanan distanced himself from everyone which I understand I mean he was blinded it's a new life but in doing so Ezra also kinda lost his Father/Mentor figure in a time he probably needed him most, felt lost & helpless and didn't really know how to process everything and felt like he couldn't reach out to Kanan for help, so sought comfort & help unfortunately in another mentor more "reliable" the Nice lovely Lady in the Red Holocron lol 😈, and like Hera pointed out Obviously Ezra's feeling guilt that he's the reason what happened to Kanan and believes Kanan think's it's his fault too which isn't true but that's where this dark side "I won't let anything bad happen to anyone again" has come from, Ezra tends to drift dark when he feels isolated. All of this could've been prevented if like you said lol they communicated, annoyingly though when they tried to that's when Kanan discovered the Holocron and things blew up again. When Ezra said "I don't need you!" deep down I don't think he really means that, that was more his bottled up frustration at Kanan for not being there for him coming out in the heat of the moment and just said that to try and hurt him, and so that's why I kinda think all this attitude and take charge is sort of him masking and thinking he's gotta do what needs to be done because he's now responsible for more lives. Kanan & Ezra Please talk properly before it's too late!!
