He was phenomenal this episode, and we really got to see everything he was going through. He has changed LOT since he first got there, but seeing the civilians really made him come back to his humanity. And with Snafu's help last episode so he wouldn't do something that would change him even more.
A very harsh episode, where we see how civilians are caught up in the middle of all of this without wanting to. I know about Unit 731, and it's another reason why I am so disappointed in humans.

Or at least remember stories from people about that. School nurse to check us for head lice every year....ethnic German born in Latvia fled to the west (Looks like a 70-year-old lunch lady looking person in the 80's. ) (Not my family). Even if I had no family, she was still there every year telling her story as she digs through your hair. I am shocked Vero does not know more. I do not remember her name, but I remember her stories about growing up during the Russia revolution. The German invasion, the Nazis forcing them West because "ethic" German as the war turned against Germany. Then migrate to the new world and those struggles as well. 1st person account. I am shocked that every school does not tell the stories of the past. With people from the local community. So, people do not replicate the mistakes of the past! At least have a snap shot.

2024-10-21 20:14:20 +0000 UTCThere's a video on the YouTube been around a while, called the fallen of wwii, gives a breakdown of military and civilian deaths by year across the entire war. Good quick watch for FYI not necessarily a react. I love MotA but I have a personal connection with that one my grandfather being a B17 gunner and eventually a POW after being shot down in Germany. Was interesting comparing convos with him in past compared to what they put on screen. I wouldn't worry so much about the motion sickness, they did a good job spreading it out so it's not just 9 episodes in the pilot seat but it's a very important facet of the war not many people really are familiar with. Has a great companion documentary like BoB did that really explains how important allied bombing was to winning the war. I think would be worth your time to complete the trilogy.

I will not get into history....you said some things wrong.....still better than most :) because you said you would look it up after. I will let it slide :) If one hour can make you tear up. Just think about what monthes to years will do to one's soul and not just watching it. But, living it. Day after Day after Day...............
