Scream 2 (1997) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

HALLOWEEN TIME!

We continue the franchise, and follow our surviving heroes.

****A quick note, I noticed that for some reason the recording of the movie is slightly off from the movie in my reaction, which makes 0 sense. That being said, it's possible that your movie will gradually de-sync with the movie in my reaction. The audio was de-synced by 1 second by the end of the movie when I was editing the watchalong.

I had a blast with this one, and it serves as a reminder that I need to see other Wes Craven movies lol

So far Scream is a franchise that would brighten my day if I'm feeling down. The movies just have that magic that makes me laugh throughout ๐Ÿ˜

I'm learning that I really like murder mysteries, though when all the characters could be guilty, it makes it hard to figure out who actually did it ๐Ÿ˜…

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much everyone for your support, I couldn't do this without you ๐Ÿฅฐ

I definitely was not expecting to enjoy the franchise so much, but I'm so glad that I am! Also a really pleasant surprise when you watch a movie again and it's better than you remember! Appreciating movies is such a great feeling :D A lot of people have mentioned that 3 is on the weaker side (when compared to the other Scream movies), but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Similarly to how MI:2 is the weakest, but I still enjoyed it immensely, especially when I realize that it's really in the style of 90s action movies for the most part! Getting out of the car is absolutely terrifying! I didn't think they would have both made it out. I love seeing how a director/cinematographer sets up the framing to evoke certain emotions from us. It felt so tight and tense the whole time. I think my brother used to watch Party of Five, and maybe my mom? I just remember it being mentioned but I've never seen it. There really are so many horror movies that I need to see, IKWYDLS (?) is one of them!

I 100% will, and it won't only be during October since that's too long of a wait lol

Great reaction! The Scream movie series is probably in my top 5 favorite film franchises. I think Scream 3 takes a bit of a dip, but 4, 5, and 6 are all phenomenal!

Thank you so much for continuing this franchise, itโ€™s my favourite. Iโ€™ve tried to be on my best behaviour regarding requests, with just a few nods here and there. Iโ€™m so happy to hear how much youโ€™re enjoying them so far. Itโ€™s been a few years since I watched number two and always really liked it but I actually found it to be even better than Iโ€™d remembered, which is great. Without going into any detail, I wasnโ€™t convinced by number 3 the first time around but seriously enjoyed it during rewatches, and it also features my favourite locations. I didnโ€™t mind you guessing throughout, it is a reaction/commentary after all. My favourite scene in this one is escaping the crashed car. This was the most tense moment Iโ€™d had watching horror movies (and probably still only surpassed by one other since). The tight framing and ultra close up shots of their faces was really something on the big screen - once again back to the glorious 90s and frequent cinema visits, I miss that time so much. As a Buffy fan itโ€™s always great to see SMG, if only for two scenes. It was the Scream franchise that got me into horror movies, previously having no interest in the genre. Whether thatโ€™s the reason for my love affair with this franchise in particular, Iโ€™m not sure. As a huge Party of Five fan at the time, it may also have a lot to do with Neve Campbell. Thinking about that link, I also enjoyed the I Know What You Did Last Summer movies too.

Please watch the whole franchise, you won't regret it.
