The Pacific - Part Five | FULL LENGTH REACTION

The more I watch this series, the more I can't wait to just spend a week reading everything about WW2.

Though I currently prefer Band of Brothers, I really enjoy how different this series is to it. I was a bit iffy at first, but we're getting to see such a different side of the war, and also a different side to the soldiers.

Plus, I've gotten to the point where I can recognize a few of them, so that's a huge help!

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

The Pacific - Part Five | FULL LENGTH REACTION

Kinda like in Bob youre mostly following a single division although the characters are from various regiments in that division but you're only seeing their engagements. Pacific was fighting for resources most everything going to support invasions of Africa, Italy and later Normandie. Pacific kinda got what was left at first. Build up then take another island chain with this group going roughly every 6 month then while they recover some other unit is off taking another island trying to establish naval bases and airfields as jumping off points to the next chain to Island hop their way to Japan. There is a great channel on you tube called world War two. They did a week by week breakdown of the entire war from German invasion of Poland down to the Japanese surrender. It's quite spectacular, some big events got specials, pearl harbor had a minute by minute of the attack. Midway got it's special episode, d day had an hour by hour of the entire invasion. You get technology specials, bios of critical people, they also have a companion channel "Between Two Wars which sort of shows the big events between WWI and WWII. It's a great follow along. Not sure react worthy but def good for FYI to fill the knowledge gaps. Start with pearl harbor, it's roughly 5 hours on a number of episodes in a special and you will get an idea of the channels quality, or just jump in to week 1 and ride it out.
