Tales of the Empire - Barriss 1x04, 1x05, 1x06 * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Time for a different look into the Empire :D

I'm glad to see Barriss again! And I love how we got to see the Inquisitors, and some locations from Obi-Wan Kenobi too!

I'm still hoping that we see her in Rebels, especially since she talked about "an old friend". Obviously the only person I can think of is Ahsoka, which I hope is the case. I'm really interested in the Inquisitors and seeing more of them. It's always the most interesting to see characters who aren't evil but are working for the Empire.

This short little series has been amazing! I think my favourite arc of all 4 was Morgan, because I am insanely intrigued in seeing her again, and hopefully getting another look into her life and choices.

Then again, I liked all the other arcs, they were all amazing in their own ways, so picking a favourite may just depend on my mood or the hour of the day ๐Ÿคฃ

Here's hoping that they do more "Tales of..." series ๐Ÿคฉ

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  For picture in picture, you can right click the video, move your mouse away from the menu that pops up, and right click again, and there should be a "Picture in picture" option.

Yes! It's so fun seeing how everything connects, which Star Wars has so many possibilities in new shows. Even just seeing a location or a character that we know adds an extra layer of excitement! I imagine having seen Clone Wars and most Star Wars content several times makes it just that much more fun with new shows since you probably spot way more things than me :D

You know you're a Star Wars fan when you start getting excited at making connections or seeing things from other shows/movies. I enjoy your excitement for recognizing things from other shows and that's always the excitement for me when watching new things. Sure we may enjoy some things more than others, but no matter what there's always going to be some sort of reference or tie-in to something we already know and that's the most exciting part of watching new Star Wars. I'm glad you're at that point now and Clone Wars really serves as the base of that knowledge for other things going forward. Sort of your "prerequisite" show, similar to the movies so now you'll catch a lot more.

I didn't know Lyn was also in Obi-Wan, I'm sure if I rewatched Obi-Wan now, I would spot her! It's neat that they can give some characters a bit more backstory and development in this sort of show, it's really neat! I do love how Barriss is one of the few to realize how the Jedi Order didn't really stand for what it should and was just a puppet. Her journey really is an important one, and I love how she was able to get away from the Inquisitors and make her own place and help others. It's very satisfying except for her dying at the end, since she could do so much more good for people had she survived. It's so fun seeing references to other shows but in a different time period, and Star Wars can do this so much with future animated shows!!

Yes so many ties to Obi Wan Kenobi Series in this haha ๐Ÿ˜ for starters we have Fortress Inquisitorius which yes was in Obi wan however it was fully constructed in that show where as here we're seeing it under construction, we also had the Grand Inquisitor who was training Barriss yes he was the same guy that you were probably thinking of. And you probably don't remember but Lyn was also in Obi wan so obviously she wasn't allowed to die due to plot armor in "Realization" haha ๐Ÿ˜‚, she was more of a filler inquisitor in that show though and only had like a few lines but they gave her a more prominent and memorable role in this. And Yeah Inquisitors have funny Titles, you got your Grand Inquisitor then the others have numbers like Lyn is "Fourth Sister", Reva was "Third Sister" there was another inquisitor dude in Obi wan with a big hat called "Fifth Brother" and supposedly the guy in the hood & mask that Ahsoka owned is the "Sixth Brother" and they all kinda just refer to each other as Sisters and Brothers and they're all equipped with their Spinning Double-Bladed Lightsabers ๐Ÿ˜‚. When the Trailer for this came out obviously they were showing teases of Barriss "becoming" an inquisitor and everyone was going nuts lol, I had a pretty good feeling that these were not gonna be her people and she wasn't gonna fully commit, it didn't help that Barriss's Voice Actress Meredith did a small interview ๐Ÿ˜‚ when she was promoting this upcoming show and one of her statements was "when we pick up with Barriss she has had a lot of time to think back and reflect on her actions in the Clone Wars during all her time in her cell". Yeah in the Clone wars she definitely became disillusioned with the Jedi Order and then straight up saw what they had become and was very much Anti-War and hated how it corrupted them all and wanted to make a statement, and probably like she said looking back when she was older "a darkness took me" went about it the wrong way. Then she had a lot of time for reflection even from her prison cell and I think when she learnt the Jedi order were gone and alot of them pretty much already killed by order 66 that was probably enough for her, maybe even too much as her original goal was more to get them to wake up, realise and face what they had become. In this she pretty much had no choice but to become an Inquisitor but she definitely wouldn't be for empire stuff and she definitely wouldn't be the type to hunt down and mercilessly kill the jedi that got away like she said when Battling that jedi "They paid for their hubris but you don't have to" And just a last clarification the time gap between "Realization" and "The Way Out" is 15 years passed so not quite the Original Trilogy time period but 5 years before it.
