This is where those in the TV Series Tier and up have a chance to win a movie request.
Here is the video to show you the race, and again, if you don't want to watch the video, that is perfectly fine! If you win and you do not want to request a movie, you can pass, or you can say something like "Vero, I trust your movie judgement and would like you to choose a romantic film that was released in 1919".

I've never played the game Portal, but I hope that the portals in that game are better than the ones in this race 😨

@Verowak US Netflix just added (Aug. 2024) "Godzilla -1.0/C" which is a "decolorized" (i.e. B&W) version of the original Japanese "Godzilla -1.0". So it has both the Japanese market "-1.0" and the foreign market "Minus One" versions at the same time. Don't know if it's available on Canadian Netflix.

2024-07-16 20:26:24 +0000 UTC@Verowak "Godzilla Minus One" is available on NetFlix in US, not sure about in Canada. There are actually a couple different versions on different streaming or digital copy sites and on Blu-Ray. "Godzilla -1.0" is the original Japanese version and "Godzilla Minus One" is the version for the English language market (both with subtitles). There are slight differences in the title cards (e.g. locations in Japanese w/ English subtitles vs locations in English), subtitle translations, etc. I agree that it is the best Godzilla in a while, and definitely better than the recent Universal Studios monsterverse ones.

RIAA doesn’t seem to be targeting their reactions on YouTube —I really don’t know what the trigger is. I’ve tried group movie viewing on discord, but that was years ago. I think they’ve made that more difficult. That’s a whole nother bag of worms. I’m fine with what you do on YouTube.

2024-07-04 22:45:15 +0000 UTC@curious cat I wish there was a better way than Patreon. I think the app version is way more bugged than browser, sadly. I've had comments just disappear, and it's super frustrating. Posting the whole movie is a great way to get all your stuff taken down. Sometimes it takes a while, but I know a few reactors who used to do that but almost had all their stuff deleted because the production company was going to go after them.

2024-07-04 22:15:27 +0000 UTCI’m using an iPad Pro. I don’t know if it’s the way the app was written or if it’s Apple’s interface, but comments randomly appear/disappear hours or days later. I’d post a response and leave the app only to have it gone the next time I opened Patreon. At one point I’d get badges on the app icon indicating new content, but that’s gone with one of the latest updates (I still get notifications, but that’s easily missed). Meh. Whatever. Patreon was really just a way to reward reactors; I don’t have a way to actually watch the posts on here. I can do PnP on my Mac, but it’s not my favorite for movie viewing and I’m still stuck with audio from only one source (i.e., movie or reaction) [there may be a way around that—loopback app]. There is another reactor that posts the full movie with the reaction here, but I think that’s not gonna last. It’s not a big deal as the YouTube versions I watch are really just a nice 30-60 minute stroll down memory lane of films I love.

Some things I've noticed: If there are a lot of comments under a post, and you want to read them all, it involves continuously clicking "load more replies." And if you want to add paragraph breaks to comments, I don't think that's possible on phones. And most perplexingly, sometimes when you like a comment, and then "load more comments," you'll see that the comment you liked is no longer liked. Rather, Patreon decided to like a totally different comment.

(great visuals) Godzilla Minus One (best Godzilla film in years; not sure if it’s streaming). Annihilation (Natalie Portman in a very strange sci-fi film) Atomic Blonde (love Charlize Theron) Get Shorty or Snatch (if you haven’t done it) Edit: Patreon is such a messed up platform—posting times are completely erratic. But wanted to add: pick one of the movies I listed above based on previous mentions by other members here, you know better what fits with your community.
