The winners are:
12 Angry Men (1957)
Sixth Sense (1999)
Two very different movies from what I can tell, imdb says one is a crime/drama and the other is drama/mystery/thriller.
I will say that I already know there is a twist and it's that the kid sees dead people in Sixth Sense. However, a friend said I should still watch it anyways because it's a fantastic movie. I was planning on watching it on my own, but they said it would make a great reaction, so I didn't watch it on my own.
I feel it's best to be up front about this, though I probably should have mentioned it at the time of the poll.
I will say that I am surprised that 21 Jump Street did so well in the poll!

It would've been a real shame to just watch it on your own simply because you know the premise. There is still a lot to appreciate in the performances and cinematography. (And also, since you already know some story elements that are impossible to forget, maybe approach it like, "The audience at the time didn't know the premise when this movie came out. So I can still appreciate how the movie would've affected THEM at the time.") Hopefully, you can watch it as soon as possible, just in case people see your post as permission to go crazy with the open discussion.

Also knowing that part of the Sixth Sense is okay - but don't go looking for more info than that (is it too late? lol) Don't take any hints. Also pretend that you don't know that part while you watch haha... I've re-watched the movie and many reactions so it's still worth it.

2024-05-24 00:50:04 +0000 UTCYeah, I think knowing about that Twist doesn't necessarily hurt. Might even make the movie more interesting for other reasons. A 1.5th time watch in a way, lol. Same thing could be said for someone watching Empire Strikes Back for the first time. Yeah, they might already know about that one twist because they've existed since 1980, but that twist alone doesn't make the movie.

I am sworn to silence for the next 50-75 years a great many more. A great many conspiracy theories though will be proven true once the archives opened. Not all, but MORE than would pray to be true. I will leave it at that. One cannot be brave unless one is scared. If people really are out to get you, it is not paranoia. Etc Etc
