Numbers movie poll!!
Added 2024-05-15 15:00:11 +0000 UTC01001000 01000101 01001100 (Hello)
I hope you're ready for another poll!! This time, it's a poll with numbers in the title (written out or numeric value)
There is a wide variety of movies, some that I don't know anything about, others that I know some actors in it 🤣
As always, you can vote for multiple movies! This poll will end May 22nd at 11am EDT/3pmUTC.
There will be another post later today to ask for movie suggestions for the next poll, so keep an eye out for that as well!
I hope you're all doing well! 🥰

That's right man, we just want you to watch them both;) Really though I think it has more to do with it being too hard to choose between the two. They’re just so close.

2024-05-23 00:19:23 +0000 UTCWhile I am amazed, I can't help but think this poll is rigged, in that you guys banded together and forced this tie 🤣🤣🤣

2024-05-23 00:10:12 +0000 UTCI'm amazed by this tie here. I thought 12 Angry Men would poll like "To Kill a Mockingbird" would poll because I didn't think very many people knew about it. But I'm glad to see that they do know about it.

2024-05-22 21:45:48 +0000 UTCI thought sixth sense would be more popular that 12 angry men. Popular is not necessarily better. I don't know but I think 12 Angry Men would surprise you. It's a different kind of film that everything just came together for, people have tried to repeat the magic, unsuccessfully, since it came out. I won't say anything more about it because I don't want to give anything away on it. I would immensely enjoy your reaction to either film :)

2024-05-17 16:20:06 +0000 UTCI assumed Sixth Sense would do well, though I don't know much about 12 Angry Men, the title makes it sound silly 😂

2024-05-17 13:18:30 +0000 UTCIt’s fascinating that 6th sense and 12 angry men are just neck n neck. Who would have thought?

2024-05-17 01:26:51 +0000 UTCThanks for the suggestions, so many that I haven't heard of (shocking, I know 🤣)

2024-05-16 15:22:27 +0000 UTCAnother great "numbers" movie that I hope you get to someday: 12 MONKEYS. Sci-fi directed by Terry Gilliam and starring Bruce Willis/Brad Pitt/Madeleine Stowe.

2024-05-16 14:00:37 +0000 UTCIt's a unique one from his catalogue that is well worth a watch. I'm sure we'll get to it at some point. :-)

2024-05-15 22:40:33 +0000 UTCI'm all for more Robin Williams, and a friend said I HAVE to watch this one at some point

2024-05-15 22:02:56 +0000 UTCYou said it! Different movies stick out to different people. I'm always curious to see movies (even if I don't end up never wanting to see them again). I have been enjoying older movies quite a bit, which I was not expecting :D

2024-05-15 22:02:32 +0000 UTCI definitely want to see more of him as either! I have it down to have a Clint Eastwood poll soon

2024-05-15 22:00:58 +0000 UTCOne Hour Photo is an excellent dramatic performance by Robin Williams. It should have more votes. :-)

2024-05-15 20:40:11 +0000 UTCthese first 4 are considered top tier movie classics - "The Magnificent Seven" (1960) western. Based on Akira Kurosawa's "The Seven Samurai" - "The Seven Samurai" (1954) - "The Dirty Dozen" (1967 original) WW2 fiction - "Three Days of the Condor" (1975) Robert Redford, Max Von Sydow. From a book - "The Loyal 47 Ronin" (1958) and/or "Chushingura" (1962) it would be good to know the historical /traditional story embedded in Japanese culture before seeing the altered version. The 2013 version introduces some stuff really out of left field, but I don't want to say too much about how much out there it is for spoiler risk. - "The 6th Day" (2000) Arnold Schwarzenegger - "SIx Days, Seven Nights" (1998) Harrison Ford, Anne Heche. comedy - "The Whole 9 Yards" (2000) Bruce Willis, Michael Clarke Duncan. comedy - "13 Days" (2000) Kevin Costner. historical drama, *True Story* - "K-19: The Widowmaker" Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson. Directed by Katheryn Bigalow. *True Story* - "The 15:17 to Paris" (2018) Directed by Clint Eastwood. *True Story* - "Four Brothers" (2005) modern setting remake of the western "The Sons of Katie Elder" (1965), which was itself based on a book. - "8 Heads In A Duffel bag" Joe Pesci. comedy - "The 300 Spartans" (1962) historical drama *True Story* - "Seven Psychopaths" (2012) - "Fantastic Four" (2005) - "Two Days In The Valley" (1996) drama - "3 Men and a Baby" (1987) remake of "3 Hommes et un Couffin" (1985), which is a modern setting remake of the western "3 Godfathers" (1948)

2024-05-15 20:40:11 +0000 UTCBest movie up there is 12 Angry Men. A true masterpiece. Obviously not everyone see's it my way :) Sixth sense is a runner up that's for sure. The only other I've seen up there is 3:10 to Yuma, which was not bad but not a movie I would want to see again. Oh and I did see One Hour Photo a long time ago and it wasn't bad but it didn't grab me. It's funny how movies just strike different people in different ways. That's why we love them.

2024-05-15 19:46:30 +0000 UTCI still keep track of runner up and third place for future reactions, in the event that there's an obvious winner 😁

2024-05-15 16:40:54 +0000 UTCI saw a few episodes of that show and was tempted to write "numb3rs" in the post title lol

2024-05-15 16:03:54 +0000 UTCIs it bad that when I saw Numbers, I immediately jumped to Numb3rs, even though that's a TV show?

2024-05-15 15:53:54 +0000 UTC😄 Thanks, V. I'm just being selfish 🤣 More like persnickety, but I'll be patient 😁 I really love Clint as an actor/director 👍

2024-05-15 15:17:03 +0000 UTCAnother one for future reference is 'The Taking of Pelham 123'. Either the 1974 film or the 2009 remake which gets a lot of flack but it's a decent film.. directed by Tony Scott starring Denzel Washington and John Travolta.

2024-05-15 15:15:34 +0000 UTCIf there's one thing that I've learned from polls, is that give it a day or so and the ranking can change drastically lol

2024-05-15 15:15:34 +0000 UTCWow. I don't understand the low vote count for Million Dollar Baby. It's Clint Eastwood, folks. Everything he touches is gold, one of the greatest directors in our lifetime. Gran Torino, Unforgiven, Trouble With the Curve, In The Line of Fire, and so many more modern classics. I think The voting should at least put it in the top three 🤔 We'll see, I guess 😉
