Clone Wars 2D Micro-Series Volume 1 *FULL LENGTH REACTION

Oooh boy, more Clone Wars!!!

It's so jarring not hearing the normal Clone Wars intro though 🤣 I like how there were some events that we saw in Clone Wars (2008) and a lot of new ones.  I will say that I'm really glad Clone Wars was remade into a 7 season series.  The addition of Ahsoka itself was such a great change.

The art/animation style bring me back to the early 2000s SO much, it's quite a trip.  I also love how angry Anakin is all the time, and I didn't know I wanted this, but Padme and Yoda interactions were just so great!!

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the episode.  Also know there is an extension that allows you to do Picture-in-Picture in case you are interested: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en

Next up, the second and final volume of this masterpiece! 😎

Thank you for sticking around for more Star Wars 🥰

I definitely was not expecting that voice

Oh yeah and that Padawan at the end? His name is Sha'a Gi. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Sha%27a_Gi

I love how this is a smaller, quainter version of the stuff we already know and love. It's adorable. And Anakin's voice is hilarious.

I'm with you on that one. He is my least favorite Anakin portrayal. I wasn't sure why, it just didn't jive well with me for some reason. I felt the characterization was very different in this series, for Anakin and Obi-Wan at times, but since it isn't canon, I don't take it too seriously. I do get it though, since Anakin in Attack of the Clones isn't too mature at times. He seems to have grown a lot between Episode 2 and 3, which I'm glad we get to see in Clone Wars 2008. I think for the time it was made, the 2D series was good, but it hasn't aged well, especially when we have the other Clone Wars now

I much prefer how the Jedi were portrayed in this series. The later show made them all seem like emotionless zealots.

Oh god, don’t subject her to that! I wouldn’t let my worst enemy watch the Star Wars Holiday Special. Making someone watch the Star Wars Holiday Special is a method of torture that goes against the Gineva Convention. Verowak, please for the love of everything holy, save yourself. It’s too late for us, but not for you.

Since Christmas is coming up are you going to react to The Star Wars Holliday special from 1978? Keep in mind it will be the worst hour and a half of Star Wars content you will have ever seen but i think everyone should have seen it at least once.

Originally shown as 5 min shorts (with opening titles and end credits each) on the Cartoon Network cable channel, then all together just before the opening of the movie in theaters.

The guy who plays Anakin in this version is Matt Lucas. I know I’m going to get hate for this opinion, but I have never been a fan of this Anakin. I don’t hate the guy, I’m sure he’s a good actor in other stuff, but I don’t like his portrayal. His performance seems to try to mimic and replicate Hayden Christensen’s (the actor who played Anakin in the films) performance and voice, but it comes off as stilted, nasally, and wooden. He sounds like Hayden with a cold. I keep expecting him to sneeze. He sounds like someone who did not like Hayden’s performance in Attack of the Clones and is performing a generalization of how most people with that opinion back then saw Hayden’s performance. One thing I really liked about Matt Lanter (Clone Wars Anakin voice actor) was that he knew that he’s not Hayden Christensen, so he didn’t try to be (at least that’s what it seems like). So he decided to try to replicate some of the voice mannerisms while putting own spin on his performance as Anakin which adds to Anakin’s character. Again, this is just my opinion, if you disagree, I completely respect that. Please be respectful if you decide to reply.
